With Minnesota having taken its initial meeting with Denver on Nov. 1, the Nuggets have this as well as two other chances to create a gap between them and their opposition in the win-loss column. Should they lose, then all they could do moving forward is split the season series at best.
Denver just recently had its five-game winning streak snapped by the Dallas Mavericks, although it took a miraculous left-handed floater from the charity stripe courtesy of Kyrie Irving to seal the deal. The injury isn't expected to keep him out against Denver, which is a massive plus for the Timberwolves who desperately need Edwards healthy to stay competitive. He's scored 30 or more points in three consecutive games, which would put him OVER the 28.5-point total.

Michael Porter Jr. actually had his worst shooting performance of the season against Minnesota several months ago, putting up a goose egg from deep with zero makes on five attempts.
In fact, it was just one of four games in all of 2023-24 that the 25-year-old failed to make at least one 3-pointer.
