The Arizona Wildcats and North Carolina State Wolfpack will tip off at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas. The Wildcats are ranked No. 2 in the nation and opened as 14-point favorites versus their Atlantic Coast opponent.
The Wildcats have national title hopes after they recruited arguably the top-ranked center prospect in DeAndre Ayton. Ayton, who is a native of the Bahamas, will be looking forward to playing in his home country and has averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds in three games. The spread shouldn’t scare off Arizona backers as they’ve won all three of their games by an average of 32 points.
NC State is on a nice start to the season, going 4-0 SU, and it’s mainly due to junior guard Torin Dorn, who has doubled his scoring average from last year to 18 points per game. New head coach Kevin Keatts has already put his stamp on this team after guiding his former squad, UNC-Wilmington, to consecutive berths in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack may end up making some noise into March but for today, it may be best for bettors to avoid NC State in this one.
The total opened at 159 in this matchup and the OVER could be a decent wager. The Wolfpack have averaged just over 90 points per game this season while Arizona is putting up 100 points per game. I don’t expect both of these teams to keep shooting the lights out but fans can expect a great game in the Bahamas.
