December is here and just a friendly reminder to check the weather before you make your wagers, bettors.
And don't forget your mittens before venturing outdoors.
I went 4-2 last week and have a good little stretch of winning weeks going. I'm now 26-32-4 on the season.
Here's a look at this week:
Cowboys at Vikings +4, 44 As you would expect, over 70 percent of the money is on the Cowboys Dak Prescott first Cowboys rookie QB to be named offensive player of the month Cowboys failed to cover last week for the first time in 10 games. We have a coach on the injury report. Special Teams coordinator Mike Priefer will coach Vikings tonight. Cowboys have 5th toughest schedule remaining according to records this season. Pick:Vikings +4
Dolphins at Ravens -3, 40.5 Dolphins covered by just a half point last week vs. 49ers, who are the second worst bet in the NFL this season Miami has won six straight games and covered five of those. But last week’s game is a sign to me that odds are adjusting and they have a bunch of injuries on both sides of the ball. Ravens have covered the last six meetings with the Dolphins. Baltimore is the only team in the NFL that hasn’t missed a field goal this season and this could be a game decided by field goals. Pick: Ravens
Redskins at Cardinals -2.5, 49 Matchup of the hottest bet in the NFL (Redskins 4-0 ATS) vs. the second coldest bet in the NFL (Cardinals 0-5 ATS) More than 70 percent of the bets coming in on the Skins by late week and I think the majority is correct here. Redskins are 5-1 ATS as an underdog this season and have covered 8 of the last 9 games. Washington No. 2 offense in the NFL Pick: Washington
Giants at Steelers -6, 48 I don’t really understand this one. The Steelers beat the Browns and an Andrew-Luck-less Colts team and suddenly they’re 6-point faves over a Giants team that’s won six in a row. I do think we’ll see some points in this one. Both teams rely almost exclusively on the pass this season and I think we’ll see it go over the number. Pick: OVER
Houston at Green Bay -6.5, 44.5 Green Bay opened -3.5. Huge line move. I think it’s an overreaction to one game on Monday Night Football. Snow and freezing temperatures are expected for this game. Pick: Houston, UNDER
Broncos at Jacksonville +4, 39 Most popular play of the week is Broncos. Over 80 percent of bets are on Denver here. Denver coming off maybe the most heart wrenching loss of the NFL season last Sunday night and starting QB Trevor Simien questionable with a foot injury. Broncos have one of the worst O-line’s in the NFL this season. 4th worst in sacks per play this season and rushing for just 87 yds/gm over its last three. Jags have lost six in a row but their last four losses have all been by a TD or less. Pick: Jacksonville
