Bruins Have Had the Leafs' Number in Recent Matchups

This Original Six matchup features a Leafs team on the rise and a Bruins team that is going through a definite transition period. These teams started their season on completely opposite ends of the spectrum with Boston winning their first game and Toronto losing their season opener.

SHARK BITES
  • The Bruins are 5-1 in their last 6 games against the Maple Leafs.
  • The total has gone OVER in 9 of the Bruins' last 11 games in October.
  • The Maple Leafs are 1-5 in their last 6 games with two days off between games.

Frederik Andersen and Tuukka Rask will handle the starting duties for their respective teams with the former looking to rebound from a tough first start in his Leafs' debut. Andersen allowed five goals on 30 shots in the Leafs’ opener against the Senators and is line to line to get a ton of work tonight against a Bruins lineup that scored six against the Blue Jackets in their first game of the season.

Rask regressed significantly last season but he’s still one of the top-five goalies in the league when he’s on. He saw three pucks slide by him against Columbus but that’s been par for the course in the NHL in the early hours of the 2016-17 campaign. 13 of 16 games played so far this year have had five goals or more and I don’t see this game shifting the paradigm.

The Auston Matthews hype train is rolling and to go along with all the regular moneyline, puckline and game props, Sportsbook has a page dedicated entirely to what the Leafs’  best prospect will do tonight, and for the season.
