I've run out of words to describe how bad the Islanders' loss was in Game 2. Pathetic, embarrassing, gut-wrenching, humiliating, abysmal. They're all good words to describe the Isles dropping this game after going up 3-0 and seeing the Canes hold a mind-blowing +82 shot differential.
Carolina has bested the Islanders in every measurable way on the ice.
And look, I get that the Isles are now at home and that changes everything. Does it though? The Isles have the worst home-win percentage of the 16 playoff teams. And, again, Carolina has bested them at every turn.
Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: Bo Horvat Anytime Goal
Carolina hasn't done a good job of keeping Bo quiet. Sure, Bo only has one goal, but he's averaging four shots on net per game. In Game 2, Bo had a quarter of the Isles shots on net.
Any life the Islanders muster will come from Bo Horvat. The Isles top-scorer this year has converted shots to goals at a 13.1% rate at home this year. Getting four or more shots on net should result in a goal for Bo tonight.

If Bo Horvat is going to score a goal, Mat Barzal will have a say in it. Of Horvat's 33 goals, Barzal has assisted on 20 (61%) of them. In fact, he's been directly responsible (with a primary assist), in 14 of Bo's goals.
