Entertainment Props: Emmy Award Odds

With the 2014 Emmy Awards coming up on August 25 the sportsbooks continue to have Breaking Bad and Orange is the New Black set as the favorites to win the night's top prizes.

Breaking Bad, which has wrapped up its final season, is the 1/5 favorite on the Emmy Awards odds to win Outstanding Drama Series, putting it ahead of 7/1 True Detective, 8/1 Game of Thrones, 9/1 House of Cards, 50/1 Downton Abbey, and 50/1 Mad Men on those 2014 Emmy Awards betting lines.

As well, Orange is the New Black is the 3/2 favorite on the Emmy Awards odds to win Outstanding Comedy Series, with Modern Family second on those betting lines at 2/1. Veep (3/1), Louie (10/1), The Big Bang Theory (10/1), and Silicon Valley (30/1) round out those odds.

The 2014 Emmy Awards are on August 25, and the sportsbooks have pegged Breaking Bad and Orange is the New Black as the favorites on the Emmy Awards odds to win the top drama series and top comedy series prizes.

At Sportsbook Breaking Bad has been listed as the 2/7 favorite on the Emmy Awards odds to win Outstanding Drama Series, ahead of 5/1 True Detective and 8/1 Game of Thrones. The rest of the field for the top drama series prize are House of Cards at 9/1, Mad Men at 30/1, and Downton Abbey at 50/1. Breaking Bad won this award in 2013.

Orange is the New Black is then the 2/1 co-favorite along with Veep on the Emmy Awards odds to win Outstanding Comedy Series, with Modern Family at 4/1, Louie at 5/1, and The Big Bang Theory at 6/1. Silicon Valley is the longshot on those Emmy Awards betting lines at Sportsbook at 30/1. Modern Family won this award in 2013.

For Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series the Sportsbook favorite is Matthew McConaughey at 4/9 for True Detective, with Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad set at 3/1 odds. For Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series the favorite is Robin Wright of House of Cards at 4/7, with Juliana Margulies of The Good Wife behind her at 5/2 odds.

As for the lead comedy actors and actresses, Jim Parsons is the 1/1 favorite at Sportsbook over Ricky Gervais of Derek (3/1), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Veep is the 1/4 favorite over Taylor Schilling of Orange is the New Black (9/2). Both Parsons and Louis-Dreyfus won the Emmy last year.

And The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon is the 12/5 favorite on the Emmy Awards betting lines at Sportsbook to win the Outstanding Variety Series award, with The Colbert Report at 4/7, Jimmy Kimmel Live at 10/1, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart at 12/1, Saturday Night Live at 15/1, and Real Time with Bill Maher at 20/1. The Colbert Report won last year.
