LeBlanc Making Ninth Start Since 2013 Vs. Tigers

The Seattle Mariners are giving hometown fans plenty to cheer about of late and can move closer to securing a wild-card spot when they face off against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.

Shark Bites
  • The Tigers are 5-12 SU in their last 17 games in August.
  • The Tigers are 4-1 SU in their last five games against the Mariners.
  • The Mariners are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games against the American League.

Daniel Norris and Wade LeBlanc will take the bump. Norris (1-0, 4.85) was recalled from Triple-A Toledo to make his fourth start of the season and first since July 4. The 23-year-old has not recorded a decision in two career starts against Seattle, including a June 23 outing in which he yielded three runs and six hits over five frames.

LeBlanc (1-0, 4.31) will be making just his ninth MLB start since the 2013 campaign. The veteran is 1-0 with a 2.88 ERA in four home outings this year, and he’ll throw against Detroit for the first time.
