MLB Same-Game Parlay April 15th: Phillies vs Rockies (+626)

Let's kick off this week with a winning MLB same-game parlay.

I'm honing in on an evening contest between the Rockies and Phillies, where I'm banking on an upset. Here are the three parlay legs I need to hit:

Rockies vs Phillies Same-Game Parlay: April 15th

Colorado Rockies ML+220
OVER 8.5 Runs-120
OVER 0.5 Charlie Blackmon Hits-225

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Rockies Moneyline

My prediction of a Rockies upset relies on Aaron Nola. The Phillies righty has been pretty average to start this season, rocking a 4.50 ERA in his first three outings and allowing four homers in that time.

He's also just been straight awful against current Rockies hitters in his career. Nola has allowed a .934 OPS against to the current Rockies lineup, with Kris Bryant, Charlie Blackmon, and Ryan McMahon all tagging him for homers. At +220, I think this is the best value upset pick of the day — I'd take it alone and toss it in this parlay.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: OVER 8.5 Total Runs

I just talked about how Nola has been pretty mediocre this year and struggles against Rockies hitters, but Colorado's Cal Quantrill isn't likely to carve, either. The Canadian pitcher has a 7.20 ERA in his first three starts of 2024, never allowing fewer than three earned runs in an outing. Put two meh starting pitching performances together, and we've got ourselves an over.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Charlie Blackmon OVER 0.5 Hits

Charlie Blackmon owns Aaron Nola for some reason. The Rockies outfielder has 21 career at-bats against Nola and is hitting .381 with five extra-base hits in that time.

Against right-handed pitchers in general this year, Blackmon has been pretty great. The vet is hitting .278 against righties with an .853 OPS.
