The Morning Dunk: Bucks Rolling After Win Over Clippers Without Giannis

A pair of comebacks and a heat check cover the latest edition of The Morning Dunk as we run through Monday's NBA action with news, highlights, and betting odds galore.

Clippers Squander Opportunity Against Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo being a late scratch from the lineup due to a left Achilles injury presented a golden chance for the Los Angeles Clippers to improve their winning streak to three games.

No dice.

Even without the services of The Greek Freak, the Milwaukee Bucks extended their own winning streak to six games with a 113-106 victory over the visiting Clippers at Fiserv Forum.

Milwaukee trailed by 15 points with just under five minutes to go in the third quarter, with this win marking the team's fourth 15-point comeback win this season.

The Bucks have covered the spread successfully in each of their six wins, while the Clippers fall to 3-8 ATS in their last 11 outings.

DeRozan Outscores Sacramento Late In Bulls Comeback

I'm a let you finish, Milwaukee, but the Chicago Bulls had the greatest comeback of the night.

On the road against seemingly insurmountable odds, the Bulls rode the efforts of Coby White's 37-point performance and DeMar DeRozan outscoring the opposition 19-18 in the fourth quarter by himself to lead Chicago to a 113-109 victory over the Sacramento Kings after trailing by as many as 22 points.

Still locked into the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls find themselves 4.5 games back of the eighth spot and 2.5 games ahead of the 10th.

Russell Catches Fire As Lakers Take Down OKC

When you're hot, you're hot.

Talk about a heat check, because D'Angelo Russell buried three 3-pointers on three consecutive possessions in the fourth quarter as the Los Angeles Lakers rolled to a 116-104 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Crypto.com Arena.

Russell led all scorers with 26 points, while LeBron James just missed out on a triple-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

Los Angeles easily covered as the one-point favorite with the Thunder playing on the second night of a back-to-back slate, marking the second time in seven games its done so.
