College Basketball Expert Picks Feb. 25

NCAAB Expert Picks Feb. 25: Oakland to Cover

We're searching far and wide for the very best NCAAB bets for February 25th. A sparkling Sunday college basketball slate offers bettors plenty of value as we head toward March Madness.

Here are my three best college basketball bets of the day:

Jump To Picks

Pick 1: Oakland -4.5 (-110) vs Wright State

Matchup: Oakland vs Wright State

Oakland have won seven of their last eight games, and head into this home matchup with a ton of positive momentum. The Golden Grizzlies have also covered the spread seven times in that same span, and have a great matchup on Sunday.

While Wright State can generally shoot the basketball well, their defense has been atrocious this season. The Raiders sit 348th in defensive efficiency, allowing over 115 points per 100 possessions. Oakland shut down their offense, and holding the Raiders to under 45% shooting just two weeks ago when these teams met. Expect more of the same on Sunday afternoon. We're going head to head with our computer picks in this one, as our algorithm likes Wright State to win this game.

Pick 2: Green Bay +6 (-105) vs Youngstown State

Matchup: Green Bay vs Youngstown State

We're rolling with the home team in a rematch once again by backing the Green Bay Phoenix vs Youngstown State. The Phoenix live and die by the three-ball, and shooting teams generally fair far better in the friendly confines of their home floor.

Green Bay have won seven of their past ten by lighting teams up from deep, and we're betting they can hit enough shots to keep this one close. Youngstown State are no offensive savants, as they sit 306th in effective field goal percentage. Moreover, they've allowed to average opponent to shoot over 35% from three this season. Bet on the Green Bay Phoenix to cover the six-point spread as one of our top Sunday NCAAB expert picks.

Pick 3: Marquette -10.5 (-110) vs Xavier

Matchup: Marquette vs Xavier

Winners of nine of their last ten games, the Marquette Golden Eagles are undoubtedly one of the top teams in college basketball this season. The Golden Eagles have won nine of their last ten games, and are 9-4 ATS as home favorites this season.

Meanwhile, Xavier have struggled of late, losing their past three contests. They've also been brutal away from home this season, going just 2-6 SU.

Marquette's aggressive defense will shine through for us in this one. Shaka Smart's squad are 16th in potential quick points off steals, and will turn great defense into easy offense time and time again. They've also shot the ball extremely well this season, and sit 10th in overall field goal percentage. Expect Marquette to both win and cover the spread with ease. Once again we're going head to head with our computer picks, who like the Musketeers to cover the 10.5-point spread.
