NHL Anytime Goal Scorer Picks Jan 25: Nikita Kucherov Continues Scoring

Over our last two NHL anytime goal posts, we've backed some of the best goal scorers in the league. And in those two posts, we've gone 4-2 (67%) with 1.57 units of profit. We're going to keep up that strategy tonight.

David Pastrnak (-150)
The Game: Boston Bruins vs Ottawa Senators, 7 PM ET

In seven games against the Ottawa Senators since 2021-22, David Pastrnak has scored four goals (the most for the Bruins). Pasta has five goals in his last five games but hasn't scored in his last two. You know he's going to relish facing the Sens and getting back to putting the biscuit in the net.

Ottawa has allowed the third-most goals against per game since the turn of the calendar year. They've been especially poor at 5on5 where they've got the joint-most goals against at 31. 5on5 is where Pastrnak scores most of his goals with 20 of his 30 coming from open play.

Nikita Kucherov (-105)
The Game: Arizona Coyotes vs Tampa Bay Lightning, 7 PM ET

The Yotes just played last night and while the drive from Sunrise to Tampa isn't that long, the Coyotes will be tired. A good opportunity for Kucherov to continue staying amongst the goals.

Tampa's Russian sniper ended a 6-game goalless streak with a hat trick against Philly two days ago. Goal scorers like Kucherov are streaky and it seems like he's entering one of those streaks.

Roope Hintz (+140)
The Game: Anaheim Ducks vs Dallas Stars, 8 PM ET

With 22 goals on the year, Hintz isn't in the top 10 for goals in the league, but he's not far off at 15. So he's not one of the best goal scorers but again, close. Which is good news for us, because we're getting good value at +140.

In Hintz's last nine games, he's scored seven goals. With 23 shots on goal, he's converting at 30% in those nine games. Now he faces the Ducks who've allowed 4.14 goals per game in their last seven games.

At the rate Roope is scoring and the rate the Ducks are allowing those pucks to fly in, I have no doubt he'll pop one in tonight.
