c: roope hintz

Arguably one of the fastest players in the NHL, Hintz goes along with his business quietly. Hintz definitely deserves a little more respect with his back to back 70+ point seasons. Currently on pace for a career high 76 points, Hintz has been all over the ice this season. Hintz can also eclipse for his third consecutive 30+ goal campaign, having scored a solid 37 goals in both the past 2 seasons. This season he is averaging a respectable 10.8 fantasy points per game.

C: sean monahan

Monahan will likely be used as trade bait this trade deadline. Having himself a nice season, he’d be a great add to not just any NHL team but to your fantasy line up tonight, too. On pace for a quality 51 points and 20 goals this season, Monahan has definitely rediscovered his old form and rejuvenated himself in this young Canadiens lineup.

Game-by-game he is giving us the impression he can still play like the Monahan who put up 82 points in the 2018-2019 season. For only $4,200 to the cap, it’s a no risk decision to put the 29-year-old in your lineup tonight as he will give you a quality effort and a chance for some big fantasy points at a low cost.

W: zach hyman

Making $5.5-million a season, does Hyman have the best value contract in the league? Currently on pace for a whopping 55 goal season and a career high 89 points, I think you can easily make a good argument for it. With Edmonton on a 12-game win streak, Hyman has been a big contributor in those wins. In his last 10 games he has 8 goals and 5 assists for a solid 13 points.

With him playing alongside McDavid and on the teams first powerplay unit as the net front guy, he always has a good chance to put the puck in the back of the net every night. Even though Hyman goes for a large $8,200 against the cap, he makes up for it with his 15.9 fantasy points per game.

W: Mason Marchment

A great role player, Marchment has definitely taken off offensively in the last few years. In his second year in Dallas, he is primed and on pace to set career highs for him in goals (26), assists (35) and points (61). Not bad stats for a player only making $4.5-million per season. Costing us just $4,400 to the cap, he is a must add tonight. To go along with his low cap price, Marchment also averages a solid 8.5 fantasy points per game. That’s good production for that value.

W: connor zary

Having a surprising first year in the NHL, Zary has definitely brought a lot of energy to this Flames line up and almost ignited them in some ways. With a solid 22 points in his first 35 NHL games, Zary has impressed nearly every night and has showed that the big stage of the NHL does not scare him at all. For only $3,300 to the cap, Zary is a promising add to keep your salary down and his 6.5 fantasy points per game he definitely can provide for you too.

d: brayden McNabb

A true, big stay at home defenseman. McNabb isn’t going to put up the big offensive numbers. The one thing he will do for you though is defend. If it’s blocking shots or laying big hits, the 6-foot-4 beast is there doing it all on the defensive side. Also playing as a shut down defenseman against the other teams top players, McNabb gets a ton of ice. Averaging a sneaky good 8.6 fantasy points per game, McNabb only costs $3,900 to the cap. A great add for cost efficiency and production.

D: morgan reilly

Some may say Reilly is an under appreciated defenseman in the league. On pace for 66 points this season, Rielly quarterbacks the Leafs' top powerplay unit, that capitalizes on 25.62% of their powerplay, that boasts top dogs like Matthews, Marner and Nylander on it. All it takes is one simple pass to them and there’s a point. At $6,100 against the cap, Rielly is definitely worth the money as he averages a promising 12.6 fantasy points per game.

G: stuart skinner

What else is there to say? Edmonton’s on a 12 game win streak and a big factor is the big man between the pipes. Skinner has been a wall for the Oilers during this thrilling run. Coming off a shaky start to the season, there were many questions about if Skinner was the guy for Edmonton. Getting a lot of criticism, the 25-year-old definitely took it in stride and has shut the doubters up. Skinner is currently 20-9-1 with a .904 SV% and a 2.58 GAA.

Not too shabby at all for a guy who the fans and media wanted out of town. In Skinners last 10 games, he has only given up 17 goals. Also to go along with that in those 10 games he has made 262 saves and his boasting a rock solid .939 SV%.

UTIL: Mark stone

In my opinion, one of the best captains in the NHL as Mark stone is a pure leader. Both on and off the ice, Stone sets the precedent on how things should be done. Leading Vegas to the Stanley Cup last year, Stone has showed no cup hangover. He currently is on pace for a career high 83 points. Rarely taking a night off out there, the 31-year-old is always a sure bet to give it his all  and make a difference for his team and your fantasy line up.
