Los Angeles' defense is one of the top in the league, allowing just 2.69 GPG. Of the two times the Avs and Kings met this season, each had a goal in the first period with one clocking in within the first 10 minutes -- each were scored by Colorado.
If the Sharks and Sabres hung nine goals combined on the Kings, I'm sure the Avs and their league-best offense (3.85 GPG) can too.

Now, this matchup is perfectly comparable as both just met Arizona in their last game.
In their lastest outing, the Panthers thrashed through three goals between puck drop and halfway through the first period. It was a dominant 6-2 beating over Arizona, who has an above league-average defense. Meanwhile, the Pens plummeted in a 5-2 loss to the Coyotes, getting scored on within the first two minutes.
