Cole Caufield's Montreal Canadiens featured in our nhl shots on goal for tonight

NHL Shots On Goal Props Tonight: The Habs Stink But Caufield Doesn't Care

The NHL has an abundance of player and game props to get your hands on. A popular, rather simple option is shots on goal. We don't need the pucks to go in (though that's a nice bonus), we just need them to wind up their stick and hit the net.

NHL Prop #1 - Cole Caufield OVER 3.5 (-110)

NHL Prop #2 - Zach Hyman OVER 3.5 (-150)

NHL Prop #3 - Nikita Kucherov UNDER 3.5 (-110)

NHL shots on goal odds: january 23

Who likes to shoot right now? With plenty of NHL matchups tonight, here are the guys we're leaning on to go OVER or UNDER their shots on goal prop.

cole caufield OVER 3.5 Shots (-110)

The Habs are trying to forget what happened in Boston after being brutally beaten 9-4 by the Bruins. But, no matter how bad the Canadiens are while sitting sixth in the Atlantic, Caufield brushes it off.

The 23-year-old must not even pay attention to the scoreboard because winning or losing, he is aiming for the net. He has 27 shots in his last six outings. Luckily, his opponent tonight isn't known as a defensive wall with the Senators allowing 3.67 GPG. So, look for Caufield to capitalize on that.

zach hyman oVER 3.5 Shots (-150)

A 13-game streaking Edmonton facing the league's worst defense? Sounds like a party if you're the Oilers. Zach Hyman has been playing his role, earning 12 points in his last 10 games. The 31-year-old is on pace for a career-high 89 points and he's going for it. He's recorded 20 shots in his last five matchups, he wants to continue rolling on his peak season.

nikita kucherov UNDER 3.5 Shots (-110)

I have seen my fair share of dabbling in Kucherov shot props and my immediate impression is that he's very streaky. The 30-year-old is either eclipsing five shots with ease or he's barely snagging two. There is no in-between which is why the 3.5 mark should be avoided.

In his last five outings, Kucherov has 15 total shots. But again, five were recorded in his meetings with Anaheim and Minnesota. But, he didn't hit the net once a couple of nights ago against Buffalo and only did twice in his last game. Plus, Philly is quietly allowing just 2.83 GPG (ranked eighth). Just expect a quiet night from Kucherov.
