Shots On Goal Props Tonight: Tippett's Hot Stick At Home

The NHL has an abundance of player and game props to get your hands on. A popular, rather simple option is shots on goal. We don't need the pucks to go in (though that's a nice bonus), we just need them to wind up their stick and hit the net.

NHL Prop #1 - Zach Werenski OVER 2.5 Shots (-140)

NHL Prop #2 - Owen Tippett OVER 3.5 Shots (-110)

NHL Prop #3 - Sam Bennett UNDER 2.5 Shots (-135)

NHL shots on goal odds: march 12

Who likes to shoot right now? With all the NHL matchups tonight, here are the guys we're leaning on to go OVER or UNDER their shots on goal prop.

Zach Werenski oVER 2.5 Shots (-140)

According to our shots on goal betting report, Columbus sits near the top of the league for shots that come from defensemen. The Blue Jackets average 30.2 shots with 9.1 of those attempts being recorded by their d-core.

On the backend, Werenski leads Columbus with 136 shots on the season. His opponent tonight, Montreal, sits at a middling 7.6 shots allowed to defensemen.

Owen Tippett OVER 3.5 Shots (-110)

Hosting San Jose tonight, Philadelphia has one of the bigger discrepancies for shots recorded at home (35) compared to on the road (32.1). That trend proves obvious for Tippett, who has snapped 29 shots in his last five home games compared to the 16 he has collected in his last five outings on the road.

sam bennett UNDER 2.5 Shots (-135)

The Panthers have been tearing up the league, only dropping three of their last 20 meetings. The Florida forwards account for 20.1 shots per game with powerhouses like Tkachuk (225) and Verhaeghe (213) getting all the chances.

Bennett has taken a slight step back, pocketing just 11 shots in his five meetings in March. The 27-year-old has seen just four shots in his most recent three appearances.
