Deion Sanders featured in our top coach prime moments in Colorado

Best Coach Prime Moments In Colorado

Whether you love it or hate it, Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes are all over your social media feeds.

He took a football program that went 1-11 in 2022 and did a massive makeover. The skill on the new and improved Buffs has impressed us, whether you care to admit it or not.

Every college football week, Coach Prime always has something up his sleeve. Whether it be special guests, witty one-liners or his coaching methods -- Primetime keeps us entertained.

I've compiled a list of my favorite Coach Prime moments this season... And counting.

sanders ranks his children

First of all, I appreciate the honestly because most parents don't admit who the favorite child is at a given time. But, Deion is a realist.

I'm sure Buffs QB1, Shedeur Sanders, has fluctuated in the standings as of late. Through four weeks, the junior has piled over 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns. His Heisman Trophy odds even shifted from +12500 in the offseason to +1800 after Week 3. But, after the 42-6 blowout to Oregon in Week 4, Shedeur definitely isn't considered a top contender (for the Heisman and his dad's rankings).

Also, picking the son with the same name as you? Predictable, Deion.

No Captain? No problem!

Coach Prime decided he didn't want a specific handful of his Colorado squad being awarded the coveted captaincy. Instead, he took a different route and stitched either a "D" or "L" on his players jerseys.

The "L" stands for "leader" and the "D" stands for "dog". Here's how he explained it:

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Got to love having every guy on the field and sidelines feeling apart of something bigger. By the way, I'm a dog for sure! What about you?

We've seen legendary names show support for the Buffs so far this season like Tom Brady, JJ Watt, Patrick Mahomes, Magic Johnson and even Dwayne Johnson.

But, in Colorado's debut in the Boulders, the team stormed out with Lil Wayne leading the herd performing.

That Rocky Mountain Showdown finished in a Colorado 43-35 OT victory, which boosted Sanders' group to one win shy from its 3.5 win total

Primetime has no time for disrespect

Okay, let's get a bit more serious for a quick second. A video of Coach Prime sitting with his team released where he spoke about the requirement to be respectful to the women surrounding the Colorado football program.

Lessons like this is a notable example of how Deion Sanders transcends the game of football. He clearly doesn't base success off national championship wins or whether his team clinches a CFP spot, he bases it off how he trains these athletes.

Rehearsing his petty post-game handshakes

Ahead of the meeting with Colorado State, the Rams' head coach Jay Norvell was bored of the Sanders hype and his flashy style. In an interview with ESPN, Norvell said: "I don't care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them, I took my hat off and I took my glasses off. I said when I talk to grown ups, I take my hat off and my glasses off. That's what my mother taught me."

Well, Deion responded as everyone would -- partnering with sunglasses company, Blenders, to release a exclusive collaboration that piled up over $4.5-million in pre-order sales.

He also went on to gift his entire team the signature eyewear and went on Big Noon Kickoff to show how he planned on shaking Norvell's hand after snatching the dub.

Which he lived up to his promise. No sunglasses in sight here.

Honorable mention: These tweets

Every game day, Sanders will take to Twitter to Tweet out the following. Simple, straight to the point and exactly what I say after I cook up an eight-leg parlay. But, don't worry, this list will continue to grow as the season progresses.
