College Football Week 3 Expert Picks

The Arizona State Sun Devils are 10-0 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games as a home favorite of more than 20 points. ASU hosts the New Mexico Wolfpack this Saturday in Tempe, Arizona.

ASU is a 28-point favorite in Friday night's game according to online sportsbook Sportsbook. The Sun Devils are off to a disappointing start to the season after losing to Texas A&M 38-17 and sleepwalking through a 35-21 win over Cal Poly.

Head Coach Todd Graham should be able to get his troops up for this one; it's on national TV in prime time and the team faces USC next week. Look for the Sun Devils to bring their A-game to win and cover.

Yellow Jackets the Pick against irish

Georgia Tech is one of the most underrated teams in the nation, and the Yellow Jackets have a chance to change that this Saturday. The Yellow Jackets are 8-1 SU and 9-0 ATS over their last nine games and are a 2.5-point road favorite this week.

Notre Dame's injury-laden offense will not be able to keep up with Georgia Tech's high-octane rushing attack; I see the Yellow Jackets cruising in this one.

The USC Trojans are off to a fantastic 2-0 SU and ATS start with blowout wins over Idaho and Arkansas State. The competition gets stiffer on Saturday as USC is a 10-point home favorite over Stanford at Sportsbook.

These two teams always play close games; each of the last five games between Stanford and USC have been decided by eight points or less. I'm still writing that Stanford loss to Northwestern off as an anomaly, and think the Cardinal are the play here at +10.

byu set for an upset of ucla saturday?

Let's go against another Pac-12 home team and take the BYU Cougars at +17 visiting the UCLA Bruins. This is simply a matter of respect for BYU; the Cougars have a solid team on both sides of the ball that has kept the games close enough for their exciting Hail Mary finishes.

UCLA is tough, but BYU is 4-1 ATS in its last five games as a double-digit underdog and should be able to keep this one close.

Lastly, take Rice -7.5 over North Texas. North Texas won't be able to keep up with Rice's offense, or do much to stop it either.
