College Football Week 8 Opening Lines

Six college football teams remain undefeated this season with five of them in action in Week 8 - and at least one of them is going to end the week with their first loss of 2014. Here's a look at the opening Week 8 college football betting lines.

The top five teams in the AP Top 25 for this week are all 6-0 SU on the season - Mississippi State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Baylor, and Notre Dame. As well, No. 25 Marshall has also cracked the rankings after starting the season 6-0 SU. New No. 1 Mississippi State is on a bye this week, while Florida State and Notre Dame will clash in the top matchup - with the Seminoles big home favorites at 5Dimes.

No. 2 Florida State opened as a 12-point home favorite against No. 5 Notre Dame on the college football betting odds for Week 8, after they dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 in the AP Top 25 for this week. The Seminoles are 6-0 SU but 1-5 ATS on the season, with the Fighting Irish 6-0 SU, 4-2 ATS, and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as road underdogs according to the Week 8 college football betting trends.

No. 4 Baylor opened as a 9-point road favorite at West Virginia at 5Dimes for Week 8, with No. 3 Ole Miss opening as a 17-point home favorite against Tennessee. No. 25 Marshall opened as a 21.5-point road favorite against Florida International as they look to continue their climb up the rankings.

Elsewhere, No. 11 Oklahoma opened as a 9.5-point home favorite against No. 14 Kansas State, with No. 7 Alabama opening as a 12.5-point home favorite against No. 21 Texas A&M, and No. 12 TCU opening as a 9-point home favorite against No. 15 Oklahoma State.

And in the final ranked matchup of Week 8 No. 23 Stanford opened as a 3.5-point road favorite against No. 17 Arizona State at 5Dimes, with the Cardinal 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against the Sun Devils and 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 road games against teams from the Pac-12.
