c: leon draisaitl vs detroit red wings

Arguably one of the top three players in the NHL, Draisaitl is a pure goal scorer, with 19 goals and scoring in four of his last five outings. The German is coming off back-to-back 50+ goal seasons, making him dangerous whenever he's around the net. Though he's not far off a career-high type of season, on pace for 95 points, Draisaitl can turn it on any minute -- especially playing alongside McDavid.

C: vincent trocheck vs st. louis blues

Trochek gets it done at both ends of the ice currently with a quiet 40 points in 39 games, he is on pace for a career-high 84 points. The Rangers average 3.38 GPG while the Blues allow 3.21 GPG. For a player averaging over a point a game and only accounting for $6,200 of our cap, that's enticing value.

W: brandon hagel vs new jersey devils

Playing second-fiddle to the big dogs on Tampa Bay, better known as Kucherov, Stamkos and Point, Hagel does his job in the background. Hagel's tenacity in the corners and energy every shift have him constantly making plays big or small. Hagel currently owns a respectable 34 points in 42 games, which are great numbers for a secondary scorer on a team that doesn't always put him in the best offensive positions.

W: andrei svechnikov vs anaheim ducks

Coming off a torn ACL, a difficult injury to recover from, it looks like Svechnikov hasn't missed a beat. If anything, the 23-year-old looks stronger and better. In his last five appearances, Svechnikov has collected 10 points including a hattrick against the Canadiens. On a red-hot Carolina group, with the second-best 28.89 PP% in the league, the Russian is always primed for some success.

W: Alex Tuch vs ottawa senators

With 29 points in 34 games, Tuch is continuing his offensive play that he showed last year when he put up a career-high 79 points in 74 games. One thing is for sure, Tuch will show up every night whether it's scoring goals, throwing hits, or blocking shots. Averaging 11.3 fantasy points per game, adding Tuch to your lineup is a solid pickup.

d: mattias ekholm vs detroit red wings

One of the best pick-ups from last season's trade deadline, Ekholm has been elite for the Oilers. The big, physical defenseman shuts down the opposition's top players. But, he is steady offensively too being on pace for a fair 36-point campaign, which is impressive considering he doesn't see much powerplay time. However, playing with teammates like McDavid and Draisaitl, all it takes is a quick snap up the wall for an easy assist.

D: erik gustafsson vs st. louis blues

With a respectable 20 points in 39 games, Gustafsson is showing he can produce on a dominant Rangers squad that sits first in the Metropolitan Division. The Swede only costs us $3,000 which is exactly the value we need to stay within budget.

G: martin jones vs new york islanders

With an injured Joseph Woll and terrible playing by Ilya Samsonov, Jones is back between the pipes and playing well. Since getting the nod, he rocks a 1.98 GAA and .934 SV% in 12 games. In his last four starts, Jones is 4-0 and has only let three goals slip past him, earning one shutout in the same span.

UTIL: Tyler toffoli vs tampa bay lightning

Toffoli is a coach's dream as he is a reliable player and gives you no worries. With 16 goals so far, he is on pace for a career-high 35 goals. He is clearly feeling good since wrapping up last season with an all-time best 73 points. Toffoli has definitely kept his good form with his new team this year.
