Florida Panthers featured in our NHL GIFT for February 20

Goal In The First 10 Minutes Odds: Florida To Have Fun Against Ottawa

The NHL has plenty of games and plenty of action for us to indulge in. There's a variety of player and game props to choose from -- including whether a goal will be scored in the opening 10 minutes.

NHL Prop #1 - Minnesota Wild vs Winnipeg Jets

NHL Prop #2 - Ottawa Senators vs Florida Panthers

NHL Prop #3 - Vancouver Canucks vs Colorado Avalanche

NHL goal in the first 10 minutes Odds & Picks: february 20

Of the NHL matchups tonight so here are the ones to bet on for a goal in the first 10 minutes.

minnesota wild vs winnipeg jets goal in the first 9m 59s of period - NO (+115)

Except for trade pickup Sean Monahan's wicked natural hattrick against Calgary, Winnipeg hasn't scored in the opening 10 minutes in five of its last six. As I predicted in my shots props for tonight, I also expect Minnesota to be exhausted from last night's 17-goal joint effort with Vancouver. Mix the Jets' defense with the Wild's fatigue, I think this will be a slow start.

ottawa senators vs florida panthers goal in the first 9m 59s of period - YES (-175)

The Panthers are on a heater, winning nine of their last 10 matchups. Their last three-straight victories have featured early goals, including their recent 9-2 blowout over Tampa Bay. That performance secured them a franchise record of 11 consecutive road game wins.

Florida should have a lot of fun continuing its streak against Ottawa, whose 3.59 GAPG reeks of defensive woes. The last time these two met, Sam Reinhart sniped one in the opening two minutes to ignite the 5-0 win.

vancouver canucks vs colorado avalanche goal in the first 9m 59s of period - YES (-175)

A stacked lineup averaging a league-high 3.74 GPG hasn't helped Colorado lately. The group has lost five of its last seven but has seemed to tread in the right direction picking up two wins over the last week. In fact, two of their last three games have included goals in the opening half of the first period.

Just like Minnesota, I would assume Vancouver would be a bit tired from last night's game and travel. Not to mention, the Canucks are guaranteed to be down in the dumps after coughing up a 5-3 lead. Regardless, there's plenty of offensive talent on either side of the ice.
