The NFL season is nearly here, and watching the games is always more fun with a few picks and wagers among friends. OddsShark is signing up for the Sportsbook Super Contest again this year and we are bringing our biggest team of writers and media personalities yet! Starting Week 1 of the NFL season you’ll be able to follow along and see how we do against each other and the full Sportsbook contest pool!
We’re excited to have new players like movie reviewer Richard Roeper, and UFC personality Jhenny Andrade along with veteran players including Clay Travis and Ben Eckstein! This is the fourth year that OddsShark will participate in the biggest and best NFL handicapping contest in the world.
All three of last year’s top players are back on the team this year. Frank Schwab, Tony Riccobono, and Mike Cole will be up against 23 other Team OddsShark members to make it to the top again.
All of the top three were new to Super Contest last year. We’ll see if beginner’s luck continues for this year’s six new players, including Sam Panayotovich, Jason Kirk, Michaela Vernava and Will Brinson.
In our first year in the Super Contest, Kelly Stewart won the mini-contest, walking away with $15,000 for her efforts. Our second year, David Fucillo finished in the top 50. Last year was our first year without anyone from Team OddsShark winning at least some of the prize money. That’s a trend we hope to stop in its tracks this year.
This year’s #SuperContest prize could be $1 million. The OddsShark team will be in Vegas in mid-August to sign up with our proxy Matt Simo from Football Contest Proxy.
