Betway Review

I wrote this Betway review to take the heavy lifting off your plate. As part of my Betway review, I went through its sports betting site and betting app to pull out some of the strengths and weaknesses so you can make a decision about where to make your first deposit.

While Betway won’t blow other apps out of the water with odds prices, it compensates with a glistening user interface and a strong reputation for payout speed (1-5 business days).

Betway is known for its extensive prop betting and in-play betting options, as well as its easily accessible Betway Casino and live virtual sports. It also has one of the richest selections of sports to bet on, including cricket, snooker, and eSports.

Betway doesn’t currently offer regular live streaming of NBA, NFL, or MLB games, but select soccer matches can be viewed on the app.

Betway Review: Strengths

Prop Bet Selection

No matter which sports you prefer to bet, you'll find extensive prop betting markets at Betway. I like the alternate total bases MLB markets that pay great odds if a player has a big game. If you think a pitcher might struggle with his command, then you can bet him to allow 3+ or 4+ walks as well.
In-Play Wagering

Sports like basketball, tennis, cricket, and soccer all have excellent options for live betting at Betway. While MLB games are going on, you can bet on how many runs will be scored during a certain chunk of the game (i.e. innings 4-6) and get nice odds on alternate spreads or totals.

Easy-To-Use Interface

You don't have to be a tech wizard to work the Betway app. The intuitive interface was designed with beginners in mind and I appreciate that betting markets are where you think they'd be. You won't find yourself trying to figure out where specific bets are.
Strong Customer Service

While many sports betting sites only offer a live chat option, I appreciate that Betway offers a telephone option too. Some issues are just easier to explain and work through over the phone. Betway also has an email option for customer support as well. The customer service is consistently friendly and helpful.

Betway Review: Weaknesses

Limited Live Streaming

You might find a soccer or tennis match streaming at Betway, but it's not the kind of app you'll find MLB or NFL games available to watch while you bet.

Technical Issues With App

Although there has been some improvements, there have been reports from customers of the app signing people out and forcing them to log back in. This can be annoying when you're in the middle of a bet

Weekly Withdrawal Limit

For people with larger bankrolls, it can be annoying when Betway limits customers to $4,000 in withdrawals per week

Cheesy Graphics

Other sports betting sites have familiar faces or hall of famers splashed all over the site. Betway uses fake athletes in fake green team jerseys on its site, and it just strikes me as cheesy.

Betway has become one of the fastest-growing apps in the industry. Whether you want to check live odds, place futures bets, or stream a soccer game live, Betway offers a myriad of clean, fun-to-use options. The “Live Now” betting section on the main page offers a quick transition to all markets in play, while the “All” section immediately organizes all sports into their respective countries, a great feature for users who love international sports.

Betway’s promotional “boosts” are considered some of the most lucrative in the industry as the app updates its boosts regularly to add extra value for users. These boosted bets are all easily sorted by sport and offer bettors improved odds on futures, prop bets, and everything in between. For example, one promo on NFL props provided users upward of a 30% boost, but max bets are limited.

Betway Improvements

Betway is constantly innovating to enhance its already savvy user experience:

Improved IT solutions — back-end software updates to ensure the app operates smoother and payouts are delivered faster.
Enhanced Same Game Parlay options – expanded same game parlay and updated tabs to scroll between multiple betting panels for easy addition to a betslip.
Customer Service – while Betway's live chat was always available, the app now offers multiple avenues to contact customer service representatives, including a phone line between the hours of 4 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
Improved Log-In Speed – Betway was previously criticized for long loading screens after logging in. That's been improved recently.
