The Bundesliga is German football’s top-tier league. Consisting of 18 clubs, you have ample betting options available with many sportsbooks offering soccer odds for every matchup. Since its founding in 1963, Deutschland’s biggest sport sees every team play the others once at home and once on the road. If you wanted to bet on every single matchup, we’ve got the goods.

On this page you’ll find betting information and handicapping articles to help you make smart picks. We’ll also give you a basic understanding of how to read odds, so you’re all set to wager on the regular season, knockout games in the DFB-Pokal, and the DFL-Supercup.

How do Bundesliga Odds Work?

Reading odds is a big part of betting on sports. Getting a grasp of what the numbers mean can give you a huge advantage over other bettors. Eventually, you may be able to take a quick glance at the odds and know exactly how to bet.

At any soccer betting site, you’ll see odds displayed like so:

Borussia Dortmund -137

Bayern Munich +328

Draw +304

This is for a typical moneyline bet in which you would simply need to pick one team to be victorious or for the match to end in a tie. The favorite is represented by the minus sign (-). The underdog is shown by the plus sign (+). This is universal at all sportsbooks. If you find a bookie that uses other symbols instead of the plus or minus signs, you shouldn’t bet with them.

At -137, BVB is the fave with a 57.8 percent chance of winning. At +328, FCB is the dog with a 23.4 percent shot. The risk of the match ending in a draw is 24.8 percent. It’s up to you to decide which way to bet.

Let’s break it down further:

Let’s say you’re all-in on Borussia and wager $100 on them. You’d get a payout of $172.99 – your original money is returned along with your $72.99 prize. On the other hand, that same $100 on Bayern gives you $428 ($328 + $100). On a draw you’d get $404 ($304 + $100). Bets on underdogs are riskier but they do come with a bigger payday.

Additionally, our Bundesliga odds page gives you totals and point spread odds. You can also toggle between American (-500), Decimal (1.20) or Fractional (1/5) style. If you’re in the U.K., you’ll probably be more inclined to use fractions, whereas Europeans and Australians tend to favor decimals. In the United States and Canada, you can guess which odds style is most often used.

Free Soccer Picks

Our Super Computer page gives matchup info like date and time, along with the predicted score (ATS and totals), and – drum roll, please – free picks! For those who are new to soccer betting, having a prediction in your pocket can help you cement your bets. If you’re unsure which way to go, see what our computer-generated data is saying.

What about the Consensus?

Free picks aren’t the only handicapping tool you can keep in your arsenal. Our Consensus page tells you which way the betting public is leaning. As we get closer and closer to game time, the odds will shift as one side of a matchup sees more betting action, players get injured, or there are roster changes prior to the game. Oddsmakers will move the lines to create a more even betting scenario to ensure that bettors can get more value on their winning bets.

You don’t have to bet with the consensus. You can take the other side of the bet. This is called fading the public and can be a great betting strategy when both teams are evenly matched.

Scores and Standings

The German Bundesliga is similar to the English Premier League in that teams who excel have a shot at Champions League dominance. Betting sites offer plenty of chances for football league wagers once UEFA group stage play begins. Our Standings page shows you where each club sits in relation to its opponents, their win/loss record, total points, goal differential, home and away records, home and away goals for and against, and form. Couple this with our Scores page and you’re looking at great information to make a futures bet on a potential Bundesliga Sportsbook. Moreover, you can take this data and use it to handicap your UCL bets.

From August to May, keep it locked to Odds Shark for everything you need to make educated bets on Germany’s principal soccer league. Whether you’re a novice wagering for the first time or a sharp, we’re your one-stop shop for Bundesliga odds and predictions.
