College Football Week 10 Expert Picks

The Temple Owls are 8-1 straight up and 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games. The Owls will try to continue their strong season this Friday night on the road against the Southern Methodist Mustangs.

Temple is a 14-point favorite on Saturday night according to online sportsbook Sportsbook. SMU has taken some strides in the right direction this season, but is still just 1-7 SU with a 1-4 ATS record over its last five games.

Temple's defense has been one of the best in the country this season allowing only 15.8 points per game, and going against a team that allows 43.6 points per game, a win and cover as a 14-point favorite seems to be in order.

TAKE THE POINTS ON LSU IN huge sEC SHOWDOWN

The LSU Tigers are 5-2 SU in their last seven games against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. Alabama is a 6.5-point favorite at home this Saturday against the Tigers and is 0-5 ATS through five home games so far this season.

None of LSU's opponents have been able to slow down Leonard Fournette this season including Florida and Mississippi State who both rank in the Top 20 nationally in scoring defense. The Sportsbook of this game will likely win by three or four points, so I'll take the 6.5 on LSU.

Another road underdog I like is the Texas Tech Red Raiders at +8 at Sportsbook on the road against the West Virginia Mountaineers. West Virginia has gone 0-4 SU and ATS in Big 12 play this season, losing by an average of 20.3 points per game.

The Red Raiders are averaging 47.3 points per game and are 2-1 SU and ATS in their last three games as a road dog.

WICONSIN DEFENSE WILL LEAD BADGERS TO COVER

The Wisconsin Badgers have the best scoring defense in the country allowing only 11 points per game. The Badgers are an 11.5-point road favorite at Maryland this Saturday.  Maryland has lost five straight averaging 15.8 points per game over that stretch. Go with the Badgers.

Lastly, take Michigan -24.5 against Rutgers. Back at home against a very weak opponent, the Wolverines should get back to their dominating ways on defense.
