Kevin Harvick is the favorite in the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Odds.

Odds to Win Pennzoil 400: Harvick Sits Atop the Oddsboard

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series makes its way to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Pennzoil 400 this weekend. We have had two different Sportsbooks through the first two races of the year, with Denny Hamlin winning the Daytona 500 and Brad Keselowski grabbing the checkered flag last week in Atlanta. This week in Las Vegas, it is Kevin Harvick at +500 who has the best odds to drive to victory lane.

Sportsbook has Harvick as the favorite at +500, followed by Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. at +600, Kyle Larson at +650 and Brad Keselowski at +700 rounding out the top five drivers on the oddsboard.

Standout Stats

  • Ford cars have won four of the last six races at Las Vegas, including completing the season sweep last year.
  • The pole sitter has gone on to win the race just once in the 22 races at Las Vegas, with Kyle Busch the only driver to accomplish that feat in 2009. Four of the last six Sportsbooks have qualified in the top five, though.
  • Brad Keselowski has won three of the last six runnings at Las Vegas and has finished in the top 10 in each of the last seven races there, including five top-five finishes. He won the last race in September, but there hasn’t been a repeat Sportsbook at this track since Jimmie Johnson won three in a row from 2005 to 2007.
  • Kevin Harvick has won two of the last three races that he didn’t crash in at this track. He wrecked in the September race last year and in March the year before.
  • Kyle Busch won the 2009 running at Las Vegas but has only found himself on the podium once since then, a span of nine races, finishing second in the March race last year.
  • Martin Truex Jr. has finished in the top five in four of the last five races at Las Vegas, including winning the 2017 race after leading the most laps. He is also just the third-ever Toyota driver to grab the checkered flag there, with Matt Kenseth doing it in 2013 and Kyle Busch in 2009.

My Best Bet for the Pennzoil 400

Brad Keselowski +700

The confidence is probably pretty high for the Michigan native, after securing his first checkered flag of the season last week in Atlanta. Keselowski had an average finish position of 30.5 through his first four races at Las Vegas while driving a Chevrolet in his rookie season and a Dodge in the next three. He made the switch to Ford in 2013 and has had an average finish position of 3.43, including three victories at this track.
