Brazil is the favorite at the sportsbooks on the odds to win the 2014 World Cup, and they're also the heavy favorites to come out on top in Group A with the tournament set to get underway this week. At Sportsbook the Brazilians are the -500 favorites on the odds to win Group A, putting them well ahead of +800 Croatia and +900 Mexico.
Spain is then the -150 favorite to win Group B, with Colombia at -105 atop the Group C odds, and Italy the slight +160 favorite on the odds to win Group D. France then holds down the top spot on the Group E odds at -125, with Argentina the -500 favorite in Group F, Germany at -150 to lead Group G, and Belgium sitting at -175 atop the odds to win Group H at Sportsbook.

The United States opened fourth on the odds to win Group G of the World Cup back in December, but a few months later the Americans have seen their position and betting line improve slightly at the online sportsbooks.
The Americans opened at +1200 on the odds to win Group G of the World Cup at Sportsbook, putting them behind each of Germany, Portugal, and Ghana. Currently, however, the United States is up to +1000 on those World Cup futures, still behind Germany and Portugal but just ahead of +1200 Ghana.
The biggest current group favorites are Brazil at -450 on the odds to win Group A and Argentina at -400 on the odds to win Group F. Costa Rica is the biggest longshot on those World Cup futures, at +5000 on the odds to win Group D at Sportsbook.
