Font saw a steady four-fight win streak snapped with a five-round unanimous-decision loss to former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo last December at UFC Vegas 44.

Rob Font (-125) is coming off his first defeat in four outings with his unanimous-decision loss to Jose Aldo back in December. The defeat denied Font his opportunity to close the gap on the top of the UFC bantamweight rankings, where he currently sits at No. 5. Font gets another chance to strengthen his case for a title shot fighting Vera (-105), who has climbed to No. 8 in the UFC rankings during his two-fight win streak.
- Font developed a well-deserved reputation as a fearsome striker early in his career, with six of his first 13 professional MMA victories coming by KO or TKO. However, he has steadily demonstrated his ability to go the distance since joining the UFC, with five of his past six fights getting settled by the judges.

- Fili has been idle since seeing a clash with Daniel Pineda at UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Volkov end in a no contest due to an accidental eye poke in June of last year. Overall, he has recorded just one win in his last four outings, but he remains among the current leaders in the UFC featherweight division with nine wins.
- “Touchy” brings a well-rounded game to the Octagon. The 31-year-old American averages 2.50 takedowns per 15 minutes and ranks second in the division with 32 takedowns. He also lands a respectable 3.80 significant strikes per minute despite sporting an accuracy rate of just 36 percent.
- However, Fili enjoys a slight two-inch reach advantage over Brito, along with a three-inch advantage in height that could be crucial if he stays on his feet.
