2022 Battle 4 Atlantis Betting Picks
The Safe Bet: Kansas (+270)
While Tennessee enters the 2022 Battle 4 Atlantis as the betting favorite, the Jayhawks may be the best wager on the board. Kansas entered the season as the fifth-ranked team in the country, in front of the Vols, and hasn’t done anything to fall off that high spot in the early days of the season.
The Jayhawks lost top scorer Ochai Agbaji from last year’s team, but returning forward Jalen Wilson and five-star freshman Gradey Dick seem to have things handled for another successful season. The pair combined for 75 points in two blowout wins to kick off the Kansas season and should form arguably the best one-two punch in the Bahamas. While the Jayhawks have run a deep bench so far this season, Dick and Wilson have what it takes, alone, to push Kansas deep in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The Value Pick: NC State (+1600)
We’re betting on the star power with the Wolfpack this year. Beyond Kansas’ Wilson, NC State’s Terquavion Smith might be the second-best player in this tournament. The sophomore averaged 16.3 points per game last year on efficient shooting and looks like he can take a further step in 2022-23.
He’s going to log the most minutes for NC State, take the most shots and dictate the team’s outcomes. Through two games, he has 45 points.
The Wolfpack barely staved off Campbell in their second game of the season, winning 73-67 in a result that likely knocked them down this oddsboard. But the game looks like a bit of an anomaly, with NC State shooting 25 percent from three-point land compared to the Fighting Camels’ 55.6 percent. If they can avoid a shooting stinker from Smith’s supporting cast like that at the Battle 4 Atlantis, the Wolfpack could upset some teams.

The tournament kicks off with the quarterfinals on Wednesday, November 23, and plays out over the next two days. Teams that lose in the quarters will still play in two rounds of games in the consolation side of the bracket, while the Sportsbooks advance to the semifinals and championship game.
