MLB Same-Game Parlay Today: White Sox vs Cubs (+288)

We're heading to Chicago for my MLB same-game parlay today, focusing on a Windy City matchup between the Cubs and White Sox.

Ryan Mountcastle ruined our MLB SGP yesterday, so let's see if we can scrape out a win on Tuesday. Here are the three legs for this White Sox vs Cubs parlay:

Cubs vs White Sox Same-Game Parlay: June 4th

The Game: White Sox vs Cubs - 7:07 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Cubs -1.5-134
Dansby Swanson Over 0.5 Hits-250
Cody Bellinger Over 0.5 RBI+105
Overall+288

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Cubs -1.5

Chris Flexen has maybe been the White Sox's best starter this year. But the Sox are still just 2-10 in his 12 starts. That encapsulates just how bad the White Sox are. They've got the worst lineup in the league, the worst pitching in the league, and are the least profitable betting team in the league.

On any day, they'd be an easy fade. But, with Shota Imanaga on the mound for the Cubs, this is easy. Imanaga's last outing was his first sub-par MLB start, ever. He's rocking a 1.86 ERA on the season with three shutouts in his last five starts. Against a guy like Flexen and a team like the Sox, this should be an easy Cubs win. The White Sox are also the worst team in baseball at covering the runline, so I think this -1.5 Cubs bet is safe.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Swanson To record Hit

Chris Flexen has allowed at least four hits in five of his last six starts. Cubs infielder Dansby Swanson also seems to have his number, in general, with seven hits in 11 career at-bats against Flexen. Swanson rocks a wild .636 average and 1.636 OPS against Flexen in his career.

While the Cubs shortstop hasn't been off to a great start in 2024, he does have hits in three of his last four games.

If you're buying a big day from Dansby, my Cubs runline bet is 100% safe. The Cubs are 6-0 in games where Swanson has multiple hits this year, covering a -1.5 runline in five of those contests.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Bellinger To Get An RBI

I thought about doubling down on Swanson, but I think Bellinger is a smarter play to smash an RBI here. Flexen has allowed 16 runs over his last four outings and has a 5.50 ERA on the year, so there's plenty of room for a few RBI. And Bellinger enters this contest pretty hot. He's got 14 hits in his last 10 games and four RBI in his last six.

Also, most of Bellinger's power comes against right-handed pitching. Seven of his eight homers come against righties like Flexen and 15 of his 20 extra-base hits.
