NFL Week 10 SNF Betting Props: Vikings vs Cowboys

Sunday Night Football Prop Bets

Two current playoff teams collide at Jerry’s World in the Sunday Nighter as the 6-3 Minnesota Vikings take on the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys. This game also features two of the best running backs in the game as Vikings’ Dalvin Cook leads the NFL with 894 rushing yards this season, while Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott has racked up 741 yards of his own ranking seventh. But I’m not here to give you a preview for this primetime game, I have some prop bets that may provide a little more excitement to your betting experience.

Online sportsbook Bovada has a large selection of betting props to wager on that I will list below. The traditional lines for this game has Dallas as a 3-point home favorite with the total coming in at 48. For more football betting content head over to our NFL page.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer

I have a player for each team that I believe will get a major this week providing good value. For the Cowboys, I like Randall Cobb at +190 to score a touchdown. No. 1 wide receiver, Amari Cooper, has been dealing with some injuries and the connection between Dak Prescott and Cobb is improving week-by-week. Cobb saw a season-high eight targets last week in which he had six catches for 35 yards. Additionally, Cobb has been the second-most targeted player for Dallas in the red zone and with a lot of attention paid to the running game, that may open opportunities underneath with Cobb.

For the Vikings, tight end Kyle Rudolph at +225 is providing fantastic value. After a slow start to the season, getting just eight targets through the first five weeks, Rudolph has seen 17 targets over the last four games and has collected two touchdowns over that span. Additionally, with the injury to WR2 Adam Thielen opens up more targets and why not check down to ole reliable Rudolph. Lastly, Kirk Cousins has looked Rudolph’s way frequently in the endzone as he leads the team with eight targets, accounting for 32 percent of Minnesota’s pass plays in the red zone this season.

First Offensive Play of the Game

Now, this is a bit of weird prop and probably a bit of a crapshoot but it’s a prop that you don't have to wait long to see if you hit. Very simply, will the first offensive play of the game be a run or a pass? As I mentioned off the top, this game features two of the best running backs in the game and I’m sure both coaches want to set the tone early with those backs and therefore, I lean towards a run being the first play of the game at -165.
