The 2025 UFL championship matchup is set! The Michigan Panthers will meet the D.C. Defenders on Saturday night in St. Louis with the Panthers entering as 3-point favorites at FanDuel. Both of these 6-4 SU teams cruised through their conference championships—Michigan embarrassing Birmingham, 44-29, while D.C. dominated St. Louis, 36-18. Based on previous results and recent momentum, I'm jumping on Michigan.

Bryce Perkins has been the difference-maker all season and is the main reason Michigan comes into the title game as a 3-point favorite. The Panthers already defeated DC earlier this year, 38-14, and just dropped 44 points on Birmingham, the defending champions, in the semis. Perkins specifically had a hot start vs. the Defenders in Week 6, pocketing 264 total yards and three touchdowns.

DC’s offense is solid, averaging a league-high 345.7 YPG. But their defense has struggled with mobile QBs, coughing up 117 rushing yards per game, and gave up chunk of yards the last time they faced Michigan... 213 rushing yards to be exact. The Panthers are heating up at the right time, covering in consecutive outings and already know how to handle the Defenders (or lack thereof).
