Washington State looks to bounce back from disastrous loss

The Washington State Cougars had a 6-0 SU and 4-2 ATS run snapped last Friday in a 37-3 loss to the California Golden Bears. The Cougars will try to get back on track Saturday when they host the Colorado Buffaloes.

Luke Falk was starting to garner some Heisman hype with 2,000 passing yards and a 19-to-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio. But those Heisman hopes were dashed on Friday as the senior quarterback threw five interceptions in the loss. Nothing was working on either side of the ball for the Cougars, who fell to 10-3 SU in their last 13 games against conference foes.

Colorado narrowly edged out the Oregon State Beavers with a 36-33 win on Saturday as 10-point road favorites. The Buffaloes rank 98th in the nation in total defense, allowing 424 yards per game, which has translated into a 1-3 SU and ATS record since the beginning of conference play.

The road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven games between these two teams. Colorado is just 4-32 SU in its last 36 road games against teams with winning records.
