Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder

NBA Player Props Today: Gilgeous-Alexander Combo Prop vs Warriors A Worthwhile Gamble

A 2-2 finish for Tuesday's slate of NBA games with the two wins each coming at plus money resulted in positive units for the day, and hopefully that good fortune will carry over to Wednesday with a ton of action to choose from with 11 games on the schedule.

Here are three expert player prop picks for your consideration, including one for Most Valuable Player betting favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for an OVER on a combination of points and assists (38.5, -106) versus the Golden State Warriors on January 29, 2025.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 38.5 Points + Assists vs. Warriors (-106)

Preview: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors, 10 p.m. ET

With the status of Stephen Curry (knee) still in question as of Wednesday morning, and with both Draymond Green (calf) and Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) still out of the lineup, on top of the fact that the Warriors played on Tuesday night, the door is wide open for someone like Gilgeous-Alexander to add to his ever-growing list of monster box scores.

SGA has reached an OVER on 38.5 points and assists only once in his last four appearances, but did go OVER versus Golden State earlier in the season at the Chase Center with 35 points and five dimes in a low-scoring 105-101 victory for the Oklahoma City Thunder. It marked the third time in his last four matchups with the Warriors that he's toppled that number.

Golden State also ranks 26th in defense over its last five games by allowing 118.1 points per 100 possessions, and on tired legs, it's hard to imagine it putting up a ton of resistance against the Thunder's formidable offense led by Gilgeous-Alexander while missing bodies and competing on the second night of a back to back.

Gradey Dick OVER 16.5 Points + Rebounds vs. Wizards (-108)

Preview: Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards, 7 p.m. ET

Fade the Washington Wizards and fade them hard. The cure for what ails any shooter or player in general is heading to the nation's capital against the absolute worst defense in basketball, and Toronto Raptors sophomore Gradey Dick should look to exploit that and get his own production back on track.

With just a pair of OVERs in his last 12 games with this combo prop, the hope is that taking on a team as putrid as Washington can result in some big returns for a player who hasn't surpassed the 20-minute mark in each of his last two outings. The Wizards are in the midst of a 14-game losing streak and are rarely competitive, so Toronto head coach Darko Rajakovic could be inclined to toss some more playing time Dick's way if his side creates some separation on the box score.

Washington allows more points to opposing shooting guards than anyone else, which should only help Dick's cause and help get this prop over the hump.

Vasilije Micic UNDER 5.5 Assists vs. Nets (+106)

Preview: Brooklyn Nets vs. Charlotte Hornets, 7 p.m. ET

An injury to LaMelo Ball has Vasilije Micic as the next man up in the Charlotte Hornets' rotation, yet the early returns have demonstrated how much of a liability the 31-year-old point guard can be.

His 13 total turnovers over the last three games are tied for the sixth most overall by a player during that stretch, and he's ended with more turnovers than assists in two of those outings, as well. To top it off, Charlotte hasn't scored more than 100 points in five of its last six games without the services of Ball, so the options around Micic to even score the rock are already extremely limited.

Since he's only gone OVER five times out of a possible 32 games, it's best to err on the side of caution and ride the plus money with more upside.
