Suns vs Lakers Picks & Odds Today: Los Angeles' Winning Streak Feels Safe

The second-longest winning streak in basketball currently belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers at seven games, and they'll welcome a Phoenix Suns team on Monday night that's dropped two in a row and three of their last four.

Here's an expert pick and player prop for this Pacific Division matchup on December 1, 2025, including an UNDER on a PRA for a Suns star who has taken more of a backseat as of late to some of his teammates.

Suns vs. Lakers Expert Picks Tonight

Los Angeles Lakers -5.5 (-108)

The status of certain key members of the Lakers' roster remains up in the air as of writing. LeBron James (foot) and Marcus Smart (back) didn't participate in the team's 133-121 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, and Deandre Ayton exited that game due to right knee soreness. Any combination of those players not being available against Phoenix, especially on the second night of a back-to-back slate, would certainly hurt Los Angeles' chances, although James' absence on Sunday was likely precautionary as the 40-year-old superstar works his way back from sciatica. One should assume that he'll be active here, and if that's the case, a 5-0 record with four successful covers since his return should make you feel good about wagering on the purple and gold.

Los Angeles has the second-best ATS record overall at 13-5, and is 7-3 when entering as a betting favorite. A 5.5-point spread is somewhat of a breaking point for the Suns, because they're 5-2 ATS when underdogs of 1.5 to five points, but anything above that, which is currently the case for Monday, they're just 1-4 ATS with five losses. The Lakers also have an average margin of victory of 16 points the last two times they've played on no rest, and having James will be an added bonus should one or both of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves (played 35 and 40 minutes on Sunday, respectively) show signs of fatigue.

Phoenix only has three blown covers since Nov. 6, but two of have come in its last four games. Los Angeles' offense at home is ranked first overall at 124.4 points per 100 possessions, with at least 133 points in three of its last four outings at Crypto.com Arena. A victory feels inevitably with the roll its on, and covering a 5.5-point spread is completely doable.

Suns vs. Lakers Player Prop Tonight

Devin Booker UNDER 38.5 points + rebounds + assists (-114)

The last time Devin Booker registered an OVER on a PRA of 38.5 was November 13 against the Indiana Pacers with 33 points, five rebounds, and seven assists in just 29 minutes of action. Since then, the four-time All-Star has gone UNDER eight-straight times, averaging 21 points, 4.8 boards, and 6.6 dimes. To top it all off, Booker went UNDER all four times he played the Lakers last season, although he did come awfully close on two occasions with a PRA of exactly 38. Close doesn't cut it, though, and trends are what they are for a reason. His teammate Dillon Brooks is attempting more shots during this stretch, and Grayson Allen just returned to Phoenix's lineup from a quadriceps injury. Having scored fewer than 20 points in four of his last seven appearances, one can't count on Booker's offense to carry him most of the way to a high PRA these days.
