Penn State vs Ohio State Pick

Penn State vs Ohio State Pick: Penn State +20.5, -105 at FanDuel

Penn State has struggled to cover this season, but that's largely because it's been losing outright as favorites. However, the Nittany Lions were able to cover as an underdog against Iowa in their last game. They've only lost their four games by a combined 13 points, including holding their own in a six-point loss to No. 6 Oregon.

The Nittany Lions have also done a good job of scoring this season, which will be relevant against the Buckeyes' No. 1 scoring defense. Penn State is averaging 34 points per game, which is good for 37th in the nation and only a hair behind Ohio State's 36.4 ppg. The Buckeyes' elite defensive unit has only surrendered 5.9 ppg, but Penn State is far from terrible in this regard. The Nittany Lions' defense has given up 19.4 ppg, ranking 29th in the country.

The Buckeyes have struggled to cover against Penn State in recent years, too. The Nittany Lions are 6-3 ATS in their last nine matchups against Ohio State despite being 1-8 SU. The largest margin of victory in any of those games was 13 points (38-25 OSU in 2020, 44-31 OSU in 2022), a good bit shy of the 20.5 points that Penn State needs to stay within to cover this week.

Penn State vs Ohio State Prop Pick

Penn State vs Ohio State Prop Pick: Kaytron Allen Anytime TD, +220 at FanDuel

I really like getting plus-money for Allen to score an anytime touchdown against the Buckeyes. The 5-foot-11, 217-pounder has been one of the few bright spots for Penn State this season, rushing for 612 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 6.2 yards per carry. He's consistently found the end zone, too, scoring at least once in every game this season.

*Pick made Oct. 27th at 2:45 pm prior to line movement. Allen is +180 to score as of Oct. 30 at 11:56 am
