A 3-1 finish for Monday's NBA player prop picks with multiple units accumulated is exactly how we wanted to start off the final week of regular season action. Let's keep that momentum going, shall we?
Here are four more expert player prop picks to consider, including a rebounding prop for Memphis Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey (-102) versus the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center on April 8, 2025.
Zach Edey OVER 10.5 Rebounds vs. Hornets (-102 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets, 7 p.m. ET
This wager was made at -102 value, but at the time of publishing, it had risen to -114, meaning oddsmakers likely caught on to the former being far too great for bettors considering the tear the 7-foot-4 behemoth has been on as of late under new interim head coach Tuomas lisalo.
Edey has averaged 29.7 minutes over his last three outings, which is well above his season average of just 21 per game. That's been the biggest difference playing for lisalo as opposed to former coach Taylor Jenkins, as Edey isn't being constrained to limited action and can now be unleashed to his fullest potential, albeit this late in the campaign. In those 29.7 minutes, the 22-year-old center has grabbed 16.7 rebounds per contest and not finished with fewer than 13, which leads all players across the Association during that span.
The Hornets just had both Nikola Vucevic and Josh Giddy grab double-digit boards against them on April 6, and then Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine two days prior. Edey only needs 11 here for an OVER, and it's looking good in that regard.
Brandin Podziemski OVER 14.5 Points vs. Suns (-112 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns, 10 p.m. ET
The Phoenix Suns are incredibly vulnerable on the defensive end right now, more so than usual. Only Phoenix (132) and the Utah Jazz (132.5) are giving up more than 130 points per 100 possessions over the last five games, while the remaining 28 are allowing 10 points fewer, and what's scary for Tuesday's matchup with the Golden State Warriors is that the visitors rank third in offense (124 points per 100 possessions) during that time.
We're easily in the midst of the strongest stretch of Brandin Podziemski's sophomore year with the franchise. He's scored 19 or more points in three-straight games and four of his last five while dropping at least 26 in three of those matchups. Podziemski is converting better than 55 percent from the field and 57 percent from 3-point range, as well.
Now he has yet to exceed 14.5 points once this season versus Phoenix, but he gets them at a time when he's on such a roll offensively and they've fallen off the face of the planet defensively that leaning towards an OVER is absolutely the correct call.
Yves Missi To Record A Double-Double vs. Nets (+145 at Sportsbook)
Preview: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 p.m. ET
Of all of the 10 games on the schedule for Tuesday, this tilt between the New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays is likely the least compelling of the bunch for purists of the sport, but it's usually those types of games which can end up being a gold mine in the player props market.
Hopefully the diamond in the rough comes in the form of rookie Yves Missi achieving a double-double at +145 odds. He's registered three in his last five games, and in the two he didn't, the 6-foot-11 big man grabbed at least 11 rebounds each time. In fact, across his last nine appearances, Missi has finished with double-digit boards seven times.
It's been a minute, but he has a double-double already in 2024-25 against the Nets from Nov. 11, ending with a line of 17 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Luguentz Dort To Make 3+ 3-Pointers vs. Lakers (+130 at Sportsbook
Preview: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 8 p.m. ET
The once seemingly inpenatrable armor of the league-leading Oklahoma City Thunder has been torn asunder in their last two games, losing both by double-digits to potential playoff opponents in the Houston Rockets and to Tuesday's adversary in the Los Angeles Lakers. Redeeming Sunday's rough 27-point blowout at the hands of Los Angeles is a top priority, especially to avoid letting the rest of the Western Conference believe that they can be had on their home floor.
We're eying Thunder guard Luguentz Dort for a shooting prop here, as he's been money from the perimeter in his last eight outings at the Paycom Center with eight-straight OVERs at 1.5 made 3-pointers. To improve profit, though, we'll need Dort to connect on at least three, and since he's averaged four makes during this run, that should be smooth sailing.
With the exception of an 0-for-4 night against Houston, Dort has made 24 of his last 45 attempts from behind the arc at a 53.3-percent clip. The Lakers are allowing opponents to shoot 39 percent from 3-point range over their last five games, ranking 24th overall.
