Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves

NBA Player Props Today: Edwards To Get Back On Track Offensively vs Suns

We salvaged yesterday's NBA player prop expert picks with a 2-2 finish at positive units. With Friday's seven-game schedule to close out the week, let's look to boost that number even further with greater results this time around.

Here are four more player props for your consideration, including a combination prop for the marquee matchup of the evening involving Anthony Edwards (-106) and his Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Phoenix Suns at PHX Arena on March 28.

Anthony Edwards OVER 33.5 Points + Assists vs. Suns (-106 at Sportsbook)

Preview: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Phoenix Suns, 8 p.m. ET

Edwards has stated on numerous occasions the admiration he's long had for Suns superstar Kevin Durant, which dates back to his childhood as his mother was a fan which then trickled down to him as they watched his games together. Perhaps that's why Edwards always seems to bring his best stuff whenever he competes against Durant, and considering the cold spurt he's currently on, another memorable performance couldn't come at a better time.

The three-time All-Star is averaging just 21 points and 4.3 assists on 35.3 percent shooting and 28.3 percent from 3-point range over his last three appearances for Minnesota. That's not exactly a formula for success, as Edwards has gone UNDER a combined 33.5 points and dimes in his last two outings, which is why most of the confidence here stems from the fact that he's playing Phoenix for the fourth and final time this regular season.

Through three meetings with the Suns so far, Edwards has contributed 33.7 points and six assists per game with stellar efficiency at 57.1 percent from the field and over 41 percent from behind the arc. He's gone OVER this prop in the two most recent contests, which includes a 44-point line on March 2 in Phoenix.

Immanuel Quickley OVER 24.5 Points + Assists vs. Hornets (-104 at Sportsbook)

Preview: Charlotte Hornets vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET

The revolving door of regulars for the Toronto Raptors brings Immanuel Quickley back into the rotation but sends RJ Barrett and Ochai Agbaji out for rest as the Charlotte Hornets head north of the border on Friday. It's crucial to be aware of injury reports for teams near the bottom of the standings, as you're going to be a seeing a lot of "rest" and "illness" next to key names in an effort to improve their tanking and accumulate more ping-pong balls in the draft lottery.

Not having Barrett around in the lineup will serve Quickley well here, as he's dropped 20 or more points in five of the last six instances in which he competed without his Canadian teammate by his side. That would take him most of the way to an OVER on a combined 24.5 points and assists, which Quickley has toppled in three of his last four games and four of his last six.

Charlotte is giving up 130.3 points per 100 possessions over its last three games, ranking 29th in the Association. Its lineup is dwindling down by the second, and now with LaMelo Ball sitting due to an ankle issue when facing the Raptors' No. 1-ranked defense since the All-Star break, there's little reason to think Quickley can't get whatever he wants on the box score tonight.

Tyler Kolek UNDER 13.5 Points + Assists vs. Bucks (+100 at Sportsbook)

Preview: New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 8 p.m. ET

This is quite the line for someone like New York Knicks guard Tyler Kolek, who's playing consistent double-digit minutes in multiple games for the second time all season with assists numbers that oddsmakers are clearly taking notice of. This has come out of necessity as Jalen Brunson (ankle), Miles McBride (groin), and now Cam Payne (ankle) are all sidelined with injury, so Kolek is one of the few remaining guards available.

There's a chance he could end up starting on Friday on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks, but Delon Wright is also in the fold and head coach Tom Thibodeau could give point guard minutes to Josh Hart, as well. Kolek is averaging eight assists over the last three games, but he's only converted two of his 10 shots during that stretch.

Most importantly, he's gone UNDER 13.5 combined points and assists each time, but the plus-money value on an UNDER here must mean oddsmakers see him getting a further uptick in minutes with Payne not suiting up on top of the other aforementioned names. Still, being away from Madison Square Garden paired with his poor shooting makes this a more conservative play with tremendous upside depending on what role Kolek ultimately serves.

Kelly Olynyk OVER 10.5 Rebounds + Assists vs. Warriors (-118 at Sportsbook)

Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET

The New Orleans Pelicans are without their four leading scorers in Zion Williamson, CJ McCollum, Trey Murphy III, and Dejounte Murray, which leaves someone like veteran big man Kelly Olynyk helping to pick up the slack in a role he likely didn't foresee manifesting upon his acquisition from the Raptors. Nevertheless, someone has to soak up those vacant numbers, and the 33-year-old center has shown he can aid bettors with these combination props.

Olynyk has played the most minutes on New Orleans over the last two games at 55 while averaging eight rebounds and 7.5 assists. He grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out seven dimes in a blowout victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on March 24, and has now gone OVER 10.5 rebounds and assists in three of his last five games and four of his last seven.
