Baltimore News & Notes
What a difference a week makes. Baltimore entered Sunday with a 2-1 SU record and a chance to take a commanding lead in the AFC North hosting the Cleveland Browns as 7-point home favorites. But after losing that game 40-25, the Ravens are suddenly just 2-2 SU on the season and are a loss in this game away from sharing the same 2-3 SU record as the Steelers.
The Ravens are 6-0 SU in their last six road games after having lost their last game on the road and are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games against AFC North rivals. Lamar Jackson has thrown 10 touchdown passes this season with only two interceptions, both of which came in Sunday’s loss to the Browns.
Pittsburgh News & Notes
Mason Rudolph completed only 51.9 percent of his passes and had only 174 passing yards and an interception in his first NFL start against the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old was a lot better on Monday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, completing 85.7 percent of his passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. The Steelers rolled to a 27-3 win to pick up their first victory of the season.
Before that win, Pittsburgh was just 2-7 SU and 3-6 ATS over its previous nine games. The Steelers are hoping to fight their way back into contention for a playoff spot with a stretch of four games at home over their next five.
Betting Pick: Pittsburgh +3.5
Since blowing out the hopeless Miami Dolphins 59-10, Baltimore is 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS over its last three games. Six of the last eight games in this head-to-head rivalry have been decided by a touchdown or less; look for another close game here and for the Steelers to cash in as underdogs.
- Baltimore is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games vs divisional opponents.
- Pittsburgh is 15-1-1 SU in its last 17 games vs divisional opponents.
- The total has gone OVER in 12 of Pittsburgh’s last 17 games at home.
