YRFI/NRFI picks (Yes/No Run First Inning) are all the craze in baseball nowadays. Folks want their bets to hit, and they want it now! Can't say I blame 'em.
Follow along for two YRFI/NRFI picks for Tuesday, April 9:
Pick 1: Mariners vs Blue Jays: No Run First Inning (-125)

The Blue Jays are one of three clubs in baseball that have not yet scored a first-inning run. Um, I'd say that helps our chances of hitting this bet.
Beyond that, though, the Mariners have scored just twice in the first inning this year and been scored against once. All told, Toronto totes a 7-4 NRFI record, while Seattle rocks an 8-3 NRFI record.
This bet also has a lot to do with each club's slow-starting offense. The Jays and M's picked it up late in Monday's game, a 5-2 Toronto victory, but neither club threatened in the first inning.
Pick 2: D-backs vs Rockies: Yes Run First Inning (-140)

Poor Rockies. Time to get back in the barrel and take your licks. The D-backs and Rockies are both 8-3 YRFI this season, but in very different ways, partially because they've played each other so much already.
Arizona has scored a first-inning run five times this season, ranking them tied for second in MLB. Colorado has allowed a run in the first inning seven times this year, leading MLB.
This is a YRFI matchup made in heaven, so pick it accordingly.
