Falcons vs Cowboys Picks - Preseason Week 3

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris has already stated that no starters will take part in Friday's preseason game in Dallas. But, bettors can expect these final tune up games to be scrappy and competitive as bubble players push for a roster spot.

With Michael Penix Jr. and Dak Prescott firmly rooted to the bench this preseason, expect to see depth players all over the field. Morris also noted backup Kirk Cousins won't play on Friday, which will leave the snaps under center to Easton Stick, Emory Jones and newcomer Ben DiNucci. Stick threw for 173 yards with one touchdown and an interception in Atlanta's loss to Tennessee last week. While undrafted rookie running back Nathan Carter has provided a spark to the Falcons preseason ground game, rushing for 63 yards and a score against the Titans.

On the other side, Prescott has yet to take a preseason snap for the Cowboys, who instead have rolled out Joe Milton III and Will Grier. Look for Milton to handle the majority of snaps once again as Dallas aims to get an extended look at the young signal-caller. I'm betting on Milton to play better football, and the Cowboys pass-rush to harass Atlanta's quarterbacks after they tallied 21 pressures last week. Dallas is rolling out experienced players like Payton Turner, Perrion Winfrey, Sam Williams, and James Houston who are battling for a roster spot on defensive line. Expect that unit to dominate the Falcons backups up front.

Additionally, Atlanta is now 0-6-1 SU and 2-5 ATS in their last seven preseason games. That's good enough for me.
