I went one-for-two with my MLB strikeout prop bets yesterday, so let's snatch a few more winnings before the weekend.
I'm going to a few mid-rotation guys, including one pick I'm dangerously confident in. So, here are my two MLB strikeout props for April 12th:
Pick 1: Jordan Wicks OVER 5.5 Ks (+115)

This may be my like of the year, so far. At least when it comes to props.
Wicks has surpassed 5.5 strikeouts in each of his first two starts of 2024, doing it against two of the best offenses in baseball, too (Texas and the Dodgers). Today, the sports-goggle-wearing lefty faces the worst strikeout team in baseball, the Mariners. Seattle leads MLB with a 29.2% strikeout rate.
Pick 2: Dane Dunning UNDER 4.5 Ks (-105)
Astros vs Rangers Matchup Preview - Game Time: 8:10 pm ET
Dane Dunning has been particularly bad against current Astros hitters throughout his career. The Rangers starter has allowed a .309 batting average to current Houston hitters and has just 16 strikeouts in 81 at-bats.
Dunning isn't alone in struggling to strike out the Astros, though. So far this season, they've got the second-lowest team strikeout rate in baseball, down at 17.7%. Houston just got swept by the Royals, including a few bad losses, but KC's starters never got more than five strikeouts in an outing and totalled just 11 across the three games.
