Don't expect fireworks on Monday Night Football as the Philadelphia Eagles meet the Los Angeles Chargers in a Week 14 NFL showdown. Both of these teams are 8-4, and both have playoff ceilings. However, Eagles vs Chargers is also very much a game between two teams with very obvious warts. The Eagles are 3-point favorites in this matchup, with the total set at a low 40.5 points.

Eagles vs Chargers Picks - Week 14
Pick: Eagles ML (-155)
Justin Herbert's injury looms large in this Eagles vs Chargers contest. Herbert broke his left hand in last week's game, but intends to play on Monday night. That complicates matters for an offensive line that's 30th in pass-block win rate. We saw Aaron Rodgers struggle to handle the football in Pittsburgh's loss to Buffalo on Sunday after fracturing his left wrist. If Herbert can't take snaps under center and execute play-fakes, moving the football gets even harder for a Chargers offense that's 28th in EPA per play over the last four weeks.
According to our NFL database, the Chargers struggle as home dogs, going just 2-8 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 such contests. In fact, their only win in the Jim Harbaugh era as home dogs actually came in Brazil, in LA's season opening defeat of the Chiefs this season.
Meanwhile the Eagles has lost two games in a row for the first time since 2023. Philadelphia's offense is messy. The Eagles rushing efficiency has cratered as they're averaging just 4 yards per carry (24th in the NFL), and 108 yards per game while ranking 21st in rushing EPA. However, Nick Sirianni's squad flips a switch inside the red zone, as they sit 1st in the NFL in red zone scoring percentage at 75.8%. The Eagles can't run the ball effectively, but the Chargers can't stop the run (25th in rushing EPA allowed). If there was ever a spot for Saquon and this offensive line to round into form, this Monday Night Football matchup is it.
Ben Johnson and the Bears rushing attack rammed the football down the Eagles throat last week, taking advantage of the fact that Fangio plays with a light front to put extra bodies in coverage. Unfortunately, after so many injuries on their offensive line, the Chargers don't have the personnel to replicate that gameplan. LA's rushing attack has feasted on the NFL's weakest defenses (Raiders, Steelers, Titans) over the last month, but Jim Harbaugh's men haven't beaten a team with a winning record since September. In fact, the Chargers are just 3-7 ATS since Week 2, and have only covered against the Vikings, Steelers and Raiders in that span. Those teams have a combined record of 1-11 SU over the past four weeks. Plus, road favorites of three or more this season are 34-13 SU. Injuries to both starting tackles, and their top-two running backs along with Herbert's ailment will be too much for the Chargers to overcome against the reigning Super Bowl champs.

Eagles vs Chargers Props - Week 14
Jake Elliott O1.5 Extra Points (-200)
Elliott has exceeded 1.5 extra points in 12 of his last 13 road games, averaging 3.1 per contest. The Eagles have averaged three touchdowns per game in that span, and I expect head coach Nick Sirianni to be ultra aggressive in this contest, as Philadelphia battles for NFC playoff position. Bet on the Eagles offense to get back on track on MNF.
