TNF QB Betting Records and Stats: Thanksgiving Edition

Quarterback Records and Stats for Thursday Night Football Matt Ryan

Each year for American Thanksgiving, NFL bettors are treated to three prime-time games on a Thursday in Week 13 to help digest their turkey while ignoring their families.

Thanksgiving games for the 2019 regular season will feature the Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills vs Dallas Cowboys and for the nightcap the New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons.

Odds Shark has the all-time betting records and passing stats for every quarterback who has taken a snap in a midweek game.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has the best ATS record of the six quarterbacks suiting up for Thanksgiving with a 7-3 record in 10 games. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott owns the best SU record at 5-1 in six games when playing on Thursdays while Saints quarterback Drew Brees has seen nine of his 13 games go UNDER the closing total.

Here are quarterbacks’ all-time betting records on Thursday Night Football since 2006 (minimum three games played):

How Do Current NFL QBs Fare On Thursday Night Football?

One of the great debates in bars and living rooms when watching football is who is the best NFL quarterback and based on historical stats for Thursday Night Football, Aaron Rodgers for the Green Bay Packers is a man among boys.

Rodgers is second among active quarterbacks in passing yards on Thursday night at 3,669, trailing only Ben Roethlisberger. Rodgers also has a 29-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio with the next-best active QB being golden boy Tom Brady at 23-4.

Keeping it to the 2019 Thanksgiving matchups, Matt Ryan owns the highest passing yards per game average (277) among the six quarterbacks along with a stellar 19-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. His opponent, Drew Brees, sports the most interceptions on Thursdays with 15 in 13 career games.

Bills QB Josh Allen and Lions QB Jeff Driskel have yet to play on a Thursday while embattled Bears QB Mitch Trubisky has played once in a midweek game and looked like his usual self with a 57.8 percent completion rate, no touchdowns and one interception in a loss to the Packers.

Here are the quarterbacks’ all-time passing stats on Thursday Night Football since 2006 (minimum three games played):
