Our college football games of Week 2 obviously features No. 3 Texas (-7.0) bursting into The Big House to potentially end No. 10 Michigan's regular season 31-game win streak. Then, a good ol' inner-state rivalry hits the Midwest as No. 21 Iowa hosts Iowa State (+3.0).
college football games of week 2
College football is back! Here's the games you need to watch in Week 2:
no. 3 texas longhorns vs no. 10 michigan wolverines
Where: Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, Michigan
When: September 7, 12:00 PM ET
Where To Watch: FOX
Team | Spread | OVER/UNDER | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Texas Longhorns | -7.0 (-115) | O 42 (-110) | -270 |
Michigan Wolverines | +7.0 (-105) | U 42 (-110) | +220 |
This will be a massive statement win for either team. If Michigan (1-0 SU, 0-1 ATS) wants to protect its precious streak and prove its worthy of the reigning champion reputation despite roster overturn, this is a must-win. But, if Texas (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS) wants to become a top threat in the nation, then a road victory in Ann Arbor will do that.
Sherrone Moore's head coaching debut was a soft 30-10 win over Fresno State. The Bulldogs kept up with the Wolverines, who managed just 121 passing yards. That's not going to cut it on Saturday.
Whereas, Steve Sarkisian knocked out a 52-0 blowout win against Colorado State. Nearly 550 total yards shows preparation and hunger from Quinn Ewers and his explosive offense.
It won't be easy but the Longhorns know a win here will catapult them in the national championship conversation.
Bet To Consider: Texas -7.0 (-115)
iowa state cyclones vs no. 21 iowa hawkeyes
Where: Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, Iowa
When: September 7, 3:30 PM ET
Where To Watch: CBS
Team | Spread | OVER/UNDER | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Iowa State Cyclones | +3.0 (-115) | O 35 (-112) | +120 |
Iowa Hawkeyes | -3.0 (-105) | U 35 (-108) | -142 |
The Cy-Hawk Trophy is up for grabs as Iowa (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS) hosts Iowa State (1-0 SU, 0-1 ATS). Though with the Hawkeyes going 8-2 SU in the last 10 meetings, it's not much of a rivalry, is it?
Rocco Becht tore up North Dakota in Week 1, completing 20-of-26 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns. But, that stout Iowa defense is a different beast. Hence, why I'm steamrolling the UNDER on the quarterbacks passing yards in my props of the week.
Notably, neither program has surpassed the 27-point mark since 2017, leading the UNDER to hit in five-straight outings. But it's Iowa, did you really expect an OVER?
Bet To Consider: UNDER 35 Points (-108)
