Same Game Parlay Tonight: Hurricanes vs Rangers Game 2

My NHL same-game parlay tonight is Game 2 between the New York Rangers and the Carolina Hurricanes. A game I believe the Hurricanes will carry.

If parlays are too risky for you, don't worry we've got some standalone picks for you. Tonight, Josie and I have expert picks for both games on the NHL Stanley Cup playoff schedule. See our picks for tonight's games here.

Looking for some betting data, trends and just some general information on this game, we've got you covered with our Game 2 Carolina Hurricanes vs New York Rangers matchup page.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Hurricanes ML

Carolina was embarrassed in the first period allowing three goals and only scoring one of their own. In the following 40 minutes, they dominated the proceedings with a +27 shot attempt differential and a +0.53 xG.

They were the better team after..you know...not being the better team at all. Following a playoff loss the Hurricanes are 5-3SU in their last eight. I fancy that trend continues with a bounce-back today.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: OVER 1.5 Goals P1

Let's go back to those last eight Carolina playoff games, and the first period OVER has hit six times. Same goes for the Rangers by the way. So that's a 75% hit rate for both teams recently.

When at home in these playoffs, the first-period total has gone OVER 66% for the Rangers. It's the same rate for the Hurricanes in away games in these playoffs. Look, the trends suggest we'll see at least two goals in the opening 20. I agree.

Same-Game parlay Leg 3: Zibanejad O0.5 Points

Over his career, Zibanejad has 37 points in 36 games against Carolina. That's just regular-season games by the way. Focus on the playoffs and Mikachu has 13 points in 11 career games versus Carolina.

All we need is for him to get on the end of one point and this leg of the parlay hits. He's proven he's good for it over his career so I'm not sweating this leg.

While on the subject of Ziba, here's a side bet I've got my eye on. His shot prop tonight is set at 2.5. In those 11 career playoff games against Carolina, he's averaged 2.6 shots on net. With two goals in Game 1, you know when Rangers are going to feed him the puck any chance they get. Taking O2.5 shots at -120 seems like a good idea.

You can make it a standalone pick, but if you add it to the parlay and make it a four-legger, the odds jump to +800. Something to consider
