Wyndham Championship Odds

Now that the men’s golf portion of the Olympics are in the books, the PGA Tour season shifts its focus to Greensboro, North Carolina for the Wyndham Championship.

Played at Sedgefield Country Club, the Wyndham field features four of the top 10 golfers in the world and 11 of the top 30 in FedEx Cup points. At sportsbooks, an American Olympian has the likeliest chance of winning the title.

Patrick Reed is a +1400 fave at Bovada. Hideki Matsuyama (+1600), Rickie Fowler (+1800), Jim Furyk (+2200), Brandt Snedeker (+2500), Derek Fathauer (+2500), Jon Rahm (+2500), Ryan Moore (+2500), Webb Simpson (+2500) and Bill Haas (+2800) have the next best odds to go all the way.

In 2015, Davis Love III became the third-oldest winner in PGA Tour history thanks to a 6-under-par 64 on the final day to eclipse Jason Gore. At the age of 51, Love’s triumph was his first anywhere on the Tour since 2008.

While major season may be over, there’s still plenty on the line heading into the next few months. The focus for many players will squarely be on those seeking to punch a ticket to the FedEx Cup playoffs by moving into the top 125 on the points list.

With the Ryder Cup on the horizon, golfers will also be looking to make a good impression on team captains Darren Clarke and Love. National pride has been taken to a new level in professional golf this year, and the Americans will be out for revenge after falling short in previous Ryder Cups.
