NBA, College Basketball, EPL, Serie A & PGA Picks for March 3, 2021 | Odds Shark’s Guys & Bets (Episode 318)

Today’s show is filled with a little bit of everything! Joe, Ninja and Iain have some bets on spreads, player props, goal totals and much more.

Joe starts the show off with a bet on the big game in Houston with James Harden making his return to play his former team as the Rockets host the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have been rolling lately, winning nine of their last 10 games, all but one of them without Kevin Durant. Harden and Kyrie Irving have this Nets offense clicking. It’s very basic for the Nets: they will try to outscore you, not out-defend you. Joe is looking at the spread in this one.

Joe’s got a couple of player props to wrap up his NBA card today. First off, he’s looking at Zach LaVine as the Chicago Bulls are on the road to face the New Orleans Pelicans. LaVine has been excellent this season and tonight should be no different. This game could end up as a track meet and should be a fun one to watch with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram really carrying the torch for the Pels.

The next player prop for Joe is a bet on Domantas Sabonis’ points total. The Indiana Pacers take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in a game featuring two teams headed in opposite directions. The Pacers have lost four in a row, while the Cavs have won four in a row. As for Sabonis, he’s averaging 21.2 points per game on the season.

There are three fixtures on tap in the Premier League today and that’s where Ninja starts his bets. Sheffield United takes the pitch against Aston Villa with the hosts in the basement with only 11 points to show for their season. Their goal differential is -28 and they’ve been shut out in their last three games. So for Ninja, the question really is which bet to make against Sheffield.

Staying on the pitch, we head over to Serie A as Cagliari takes on Bologna. Cagliari is in a real fight to avoid relegation as they are two points behind Torino to stay in the top Italian league. Neither of these sides is particularly strong on the back end, which could make for an exciting match. Instead of betting on a side or a total, Ninja has found a nice spot to capitalize on one of those unique soccer bets.

In college hoops, the 19th-ranked San Diego State Aztecs are on the road to play the UNLV Rebels. The Aztecs have won the last two against the Rebels and Matt Mitchell and company will look to make it three in a row. Mitchell leads San Diego State in points per game with 15.2 and steals with 1.5. The Aztecs are unbeaten in their last 10, and are 9.5-point favorites tonight.

The PGA stops at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week and Iain has a bet on a tournament matchup between Francesco Molinari and Hideki Matsuyama. The Italian has three top-10s on the season thus far and one of those was at the Genesis Invitational just two weeks ago. Matsuyama on the other hand didn’t make the cut at the Genesis, but he did bounce back nicely last week at the WGC-Workday Championship to finish T15.
