NBA, MLB & Champions League Picks for April 14, 2021 | Odds Shark’s Guys & Bets (Episode 333)

We have a nice midweek slate of games on the board today and Joe and Ninja break down their favorite bets across the NBA, Champions League and MLB.

There’s a clash of big men in the NBA as Julius Randle and the New York Knicks are on the road to take on Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Knicks continue to be one of the better stories in the NBA this season with Randle emerging as a first-time all-star and Tom Thibodeau in the running for coach of the year. The Pelicans, on the other hand, find themselves in the 11th spot in the Western Conference and outside the playoff picture looking in. Joe is looking at the full-game spread for his bet on this game.

Joe has been on a pretty good run betting player points+rebounds in the NBA, and he’s got another play for today. He’s looking at a bet on the Memphis Grizzlies-Dallas Mavericks game. This player has been stepping it up lately and would’ve eclipsed this number in his last three games.

Sticking with player props, Joe is looking at a bet on Russell Westbrook as the Washington Wizards are in Sacramento to face the Kings. Westbrook has been dominant on the stat sheet this season, setting a record for most triple-doubles by a Wizard in franchise history. Not a single season, but all-time. He’s averaging 21.7 points, 10.7 boards and 10.8 assists. Even with the return of Bradley Beal to the lineup, Westbrook is filling up the stat sheet.

Over to Major League Baseball now as Ninja is eyeing the clash in the National League East with the Philadelphia Phillies in the Big Apple to take on the New York Mets. The Phils are already in a hole against the Mets after dropping both games of yesterday’s doubleheader. It will be the sixth meeting of the season between the clubs, with Philadelphia going 2-3 thus far. There has been a rather nice surprise element for one of the clubs, and Ninja sees that as an advantage for capping this game.

It’s the second leg of Champions League quarterfinal play with Borussia Dortmund down 2-1 to Manchester City and Real Madrid with a 3-1 edge over Liverpool. The latter is where Ninja is going for his bet today. Madrid enters this match hot, unbeaten in its last 13 matches overall, with 11 wins and two draws. Vinicius had a pair of goals in the Sportsbook leg to give Madrid the comfortable lead it now has. Ninja is looking at a very different player prop here focusing in on one of Real’s great midfielders.
