Home runs are kind of my favorite way to go about MLB betting, at least from an entertainment perspective. So, let's find some fun — and some winners.
I've got a pair of homer picks for tonight's game, so follow along for my two home run prop bets for April 29th:
Pick 1: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. To Homer (+600)

Dating back to his days with the Blue Jays, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. owns James Paxton. The now-Arizona outfielder has a career 1.323 OPS against Paxton in 13 career at-bats. He's got four extra-base hits in that time, two of which have been homers.
Gurriel is also raking against lefties in general this year. The DBacks outfielder has a .561 slugging percentage and five extra-base hits against southpaws, in just 43 PAs.
Pick 2: Anthony Rizzo To Homer (+500)

Anthonyt Rizzo has found something over the last few days. In the past week, the Yankees 1B is hitting .407 with four howers in 27 at-bats. He's got a good shot to keep things going today against Baltimore's Grayson Rodriguez. While GRod is a great strikeout pitcher, he's got a habit of giving up the long ball. In 28 MLB starts, he's allowed 20 homers, good for a 1.2 HR/9.
With the platoon advantage in Rizzo's favor, I think he can send another over the wall tonight.
