    Starting Pitchers

Ranger Suarez (1-0) is set to make his fifth appearance and third start of the postseason for the Phillies. The left-hander got two outs in relief in the Phillies’ 6-5 win in Game 1, and he started Game 3 of the NLCS, going five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) in a 4-2 victory over San Diego. He went 10-7 with a 3.65 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP over 155.1 innings in the regular season.

Lance McCullers Jr. (0-0) will counter for the Astros as he makes his third start of the postseason. McCullers last pitched in Game 4 of the ALCS where he was rocked for eight hits and four runs (three earned) by the New York Yankees. The right-hander went 4-2 with a 2.27 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP over 47.2 innings this season.

First-Inning Surge Helps Astros Knot World Series

The Astros tied up the World Series with a 5-2 victory in Game 2 on Saturday. Houston got off to a quick start as Jeremy Pena and Yordan Alvarez each had RBIs in the first inning before Alvarez scored on an error to give the Astros an early 3-0 lead.

Alex Bregman hit a two-run bomb in the fifth to put Houston up 5-0 and Philadelphia couldn’t recover. Framber Valdez earned the win with a solid 6.1-inning outing, scattering four hits and one earned run while striking out nine.

Bregman and Alvarez continue to produce for the Astros this postseason with both batters driving in nine runs through nine games. Bregman has probably been Houston’s MVP, batting .316 with three homers and just four Ks.

Wheeler Gets Lit Up In Game 2

After taking Game 1 in extra innings, the Phillies couldn’t steal the second game in Houston to give themselves an advantage at home for Game 3. Zack Wheeler had a rough outing on the mound, allowing six hits and four earned runs over five innings. Meanwhile, the Phillies scored just one earned run – a Jean Segura sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Bryce Harper had a quiet night at the plate, going 0-for-4, but will still be the player to watch for the Phillies in Game 3 and throughout the series. The slugger has a playoff-leading 11 RBIs (tied with teammate Rhys Hoskins) while batting .392 – second only to Matt Chapman of the Blue Jays (.429), who played just two games.

Astros Player Prop: Alvarez OVER 4 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+125)

When Alvarez has been hot this postseason, he’s been red-hot. The Astros slugger had two runs, one hit and one RBI in Saturday’s win and has recorded at least four combined hits, runs and RBIs in four of his last nine outings.

Phillies Player Prop: Harper OVER 2 Hits (+175)

Prior to Saturday’s loss, Harper had multiple hits in three straight games and in eight of his last 11 contests. The Phillies designated hitter is getting +175 to record at least two hits during Tuesday’s matchup. Why not bet on the hot hand?

    Astros: Keys To Win

Houston benefited from some excellent pitching in Game 2 but that doesn’t seem extremely likely to happen again with McCullers on the mound. The Astros will need to put up a few runs if they’re going to take Game 3, and if they can get to the Phillies early again, they could run away with it.

    Phillies: Keys To Win

The Phillies offense went quiet in Game 2, scoring fewer than four runs for the first time in five games. Harper will be motivated to get back on track after an 0-for-4 showing and the DH will probably have to have a big night if his club is going to retake the series lead.
